Loved the hotel and the spacious two bedroom apartment we booked for us and our daughter. If you are looking for a cozier, less over the top alternative to something like Atlantis the Palm, Sofitel the Palm is great! The staff was professional and very friendly, and we will definitely come back.

Het is echt een geweldig hotel, hebt niet door dat je in een stad bent als je bij het Sofitel verblijft. Personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het hotel is modern ingericht, door corona waren niet al hun restaurants geopend. De restaurants die we bezocht hebben waren super lekker. Zeker een aanrader om daar te eten. Sfeer van het hotel is zeer gezellig.

Oase van rust, modern en vriendelijk resort , ongekend goede service en vriendelijkheid van het personeel. Status van het loyaltyprogramma wordt zeer efficiënt toegepast. Enige minpunt is de wachttijd op het eten tijdens lunch bij Maui en vooral de prijs van het lunchbuffet is eigenlijk te duur.

Top resort, maar service moet niet verslechteren
Ik heb 3 nachten in dit fantastische resort verbleven. Omdat ik al een aantal dagen in Dubai was, voelde dit als een compleet andere vakantie (relaxed en ontspannen) door de ligging op het Palm eiland. Ver van de stad, maar toch met de shuttle bus van het hotel of taxi goed te bereiken. Ik was ver voor de check in tijd bij het hotel, maar kreeg binnen 15min een telefoontje dat mijn kamer gereed was. Zeer behulpzame mensen bij de receptie. Ik was onder de indruk van mijn kamer; meer dan ik van een vijfsterren hotel had verwacht. Ik had uitzicht op het strand en palmeiland. De kamer was zeer schoon en gaf mij het gevoel of ik echt op een luxe resort zat. Tijdens mijn verblijf heb ik een hammam genomen en kon vervolgens de rest van de dag gebruik blijven maken van de mooie spa van het hotel. Het was schoon en netjes onderhouden. Toch een paar dingen die net niet helemaal klopten. Zo was er tijdens een van de dagen tijdens de lunch geen hamburger te bestellen bij verschillende restaurants op het resort, omdat deze op waren. ‘s avonds in het steak restaurant gegeten, daar was de rode martini op, een van de 5 vleessoorten was op (pas bij het bestellen gemeld, nadat ik een keuze had gemaakt), bij het bestellen van ossenhaas kreeg ik een rib-eye. Op zich allemaal niet erg, maar voor een 5 sterrenhotel had dit niet gemogen. Helemaal niet voor de prijzen. Tijdens het uitchecken heb ik dit gemeld en kreeg alleen te horen dat ik de volgende keer dat restaurant moet mijden.

Het is een exellent hotel, prima gelegen, rustig, geen lawaai van bouwwerken in de omgeving, personeel en staf zijn zeer toegewijd aan de gasten, niets is te veel. Restaurants, zoals Porterhouse en het visrestaurant zijn uitstekend, volop keus. Voldoende bedjes op het strand, met bediening, erg fijn. Beveiligde omgeving, voelt prettig aan. Zwembaden te over. Spa is van top kwaliteit, gym is heerlijk. Tennisbaan op het dak. Shuttle bus naar de Dubaimall of Mall of The Emirates. Ruime kamers van alle gemakken voorzien.

we kregen een upgrade aangeboden bij het inchecken, maar dan moesten we wel 1000 euro bijbetalen. Dat is in mijn ogen geen upgrade. Bovendien hadden we een kamer met uitzicht geboekt en dat uitzicht was er niet. Vandaar dat hij ons een upgrade aanbood, maar allleen als we 1000 euro bij betaalden. Dus dat was een beetje gek en heb je ook geen zin in om 00:30 's nachts.

Couldn’t check into room till late in afternoon on arrival and as soon as it was 12pm next day they immediately called me to check out! So hardly any time to enjoy my one night stay. Had dinner at steak restaurant and food was cold and had to send back ! Was a shame won’t be staying there again it was not like this when it first opened but seems like has gone down hill unfortunately.

The hotel was beautiful, the interior, exterior, pool area and views. The staff were friendly and always willing to help you. The food was excellent. Our only criticism with half board is that it was very disappointing to not be given at least a bottle of water with our meal and be expected to pay £8 for a bottle, especially as water was delivered freely to your room every day. We visited all the restaurants and the food was of a high standard. However, we were disappointed that the steak restaurant options available to half board customers did not include any steaks. On the whole we had a fantastic holiday here and would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a palm view room, the view every morning was so peaceful and stunning. Staff throughout this hotel are very welcoming, friendly and polite. There were always plenty of sun loungers and the restaurant options are amazing. Couldn’t fault anything about our trip!
