I arrived earlier in the day to pay for room and check in my elderly parents, who were to arrive a little later in the day. There was an apparent staff shift change between this and the information was not conveyed to the staff member which made the check in process frustrating for my husband who arrived with my parents. 'This was our 3rd trip here, and even with some rainy days, as usual, it did not disappoint! Love the nostalgic rustic feel of the inside, and the seclusion of being so close to the beauty of the lake. The fireplace was a welcomed addition to any rainy evening. 'True hidden Gem. My wife and I travel a lot and typically stay in bed and breakfasts, and this was one of our favorites in the northeast. Fantastic breakfast was an added bonus. The owner, Penny, was extremely friendly and accommodating. Can't say enough positive things about our stay!'

'The property was in a beautiful location! It was very clean and cozy. Perfect for a weekend getaway with family or friends. Even though the property was off the beaten path, there was a lot to do within 15-30 min drive. The host made great suggestions of what to see in the area! I would definitely stay at this property again. Maybe during the summer months to enjoy the lake a bit more, but I have no complaints!'

'Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. I was on a vacation/work trip and driving to New England with my 4-month-old Westie. Stopped here for a 4-night stay and I have family in the area. Loved the little apartment with the deck overlooking the creek. Betsy, the host, was wonderful, felt like meeting a long, lost friend. A lot to do in the Tunkhannock area. 'My friends and I stayed at Ivans house and it was exactly as described in the listing. Each room had a full pull out bed and sheets for each. The pool, hot tub and sauna were great features. The house is right on a highway but we hardly noticed and this didnt effect our experience. Id recommend this house for anyone who just wants a great property to relax at and not need to leave for a long weekend.'

'This was a great way to have my four siblings and their spouses visit for a weekend. They stayed in this property and one owned by the same people across the street. The property was beautiful and in a great location. Thanks to Rick and Cindy for a great weekend!'
