'Situated 300m walk from ski lift/gondola and the ticket office (just carry skis/snowboard across the carpark and you're there), this hostel is clean and well set up. Mens and womens toilets separated. Unisex showers with antechamber. Communal mirror/handbasin area. Communal kitchen downstairs. Breakfast is plain but healthy (sliced ham, assorted vegetables, soup, yoghurt, cereal, bread (couple of types) and jam, tea/coffee). Very good for a bargain basement place - I will likely come back again!...

'Great location, walkable to both the train station and the old town. Very friendly staff, very well equipped kitchen. Our room was clean and the shower facility was acceptable. If you're unlucky to get a room near the common areas, the doors are made of paper so you can hear everything. '

'It is placed in a quiet neighborhood which was nice, but a little far from convenience stores etc. I went by car, so there was no problem, they got Parking outside which was free. Everything was pretty good, staff was friendly, not a lot of guests which was nice, and the garden inside was insta worthy. Only thing was the shared bathroom, guess we can't do anything about that.'

'Comme toute auberge de jeunesse, c'est plutôt petit. Mais c'est propre, les douches, les chambres et la cuisine sont bien pensés même s'il n'y a qu'une seule table pour 4 personnes en tout pour manger. Les consignes pour les bagages sont gratuites (on récupère la pièce en même temps que la valise) Il n'y a pas d'espace commun donc on s'ennuie, on ne peut pas se poser pour bouquiner, boire un verre, discuter, jouer aux cartes, etc. C'est chacun chez soi dans son lit.'

'The staff treated me so well. Working with me even with a language barrier. After a few weeks of the Tokyo and Osaka life, that place was a slice of heaven, my only regret was not staying longer. The baths were nice, the place was super clean. Transportation to get there is a bit difficult, but that I think is what makes this place attractive, since it's in such a nice, quiet part of Japan. Going there during the Sakura season was amazing too. '
