'Horrible run down two storey family bungalow. Everything was broken! Dangerous ledder to climb to the upper floor. stayed one night and it was the worst on our 2 month Bali trip. Wanted to leave the same day but the manager refused to refund the money so we were forced to stay. Luckily we only booked 1 night. The night we couldn't sleep as the room has no windows and no soundproof. you can hear talking staff until midnight as if they were staying in your room. It was super hot upstairs becasue...

'De ligging was prima , ook makkelijk te lopen vanaf de haven ongeveer 8 minuten. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en helpt je met alles. Het huisje is erg gehorig en heeft hier en daar een opknapbeurt nodig, er is wel warm water. '

'The place is good and has an excellent location but they have many areas to improve, for example the cleanliness and attention to the guests since during our entire stay we did not see any of the staff clean the room, we had 4 power cuts that the hotel was not even aware of, we had to be calling the reception or looking for someone to fix it.'

'This hostel was really nice, from the reception to the room to the breakfast , all very nice. I stayed for 5 nights , the first couple nights I stayed in the deluxe room and the last 3 in a standard double. I had planned on hotel hopping around the island but Gili Buana was so relaxed I was happy to stay put. As A solo traveler I felt very welcome. Aisje the manager was an amazing hostess, she invited me for sunset and dinner a couple nights which was lovely. I highly recommend this hostel. '

'Hotel was fine given the price. Good room with airconditioner, bathroom is spacious but smells a bit funky at times (smell comes from the drain) Staff was very helpfull and so kind, they were great. Only downside (which is not to blame on the hotel) were the broadcasted prayers of the mosques of which the first one is at 5 in the morning and lasts about half an hour. The island is pretty small so I think you hear them allmost everywhere. Also the chickens and roosters on the island are pretty...
