'Wat vroeger een prachtig hotel, met warm bronnen was, is na een renovatie met plastic kozijnen slechts een lege huls. Bussen met bejaarden vullen nu de eetzaal en de prachtige hal. Voor een normale tourist of pelgrim is het prima vanwege het prachtige 30 graden zwembad, maar vermijd het eten en ga naar de overkant van de brug waar een prima restaurant met vriendelijk personeel is. De kamers zonder airco lijken me in de zomer niet prettig. '

'Fantastic hotel! The operator George is amazing. He speaks great English and was incredibly accommodating. We arrived very early and he was able to get our room ready as quickly as possible. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is right in the centre and on the Camino trail. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Caldas de Reis. '
