'Great family trip! Riverside was a cute and comfortable little inn. The staff was great and we loved our room. We had a balcony which had a great view of the river. So peaceful. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. I’m heartbroken for this community. So sad this little gem is gone. When they get up and running again we will definitely be back. One of my favorite towns in NC. '

'The hotel is historic, cozy, well maintained. The location is great, walking distance to shops and restaurants. The owners were delightful, easy to talk with, helpful. Michael, the chef, is amazing! 'I gave it a good review because the staff was so nice and the place is clean and cute however our bedroom I think it was called Spring room, was not very functional. There was nowhere to sit but on the bed and on one hard old wooden chair. Couldn't get the TV to work said no signal, no matter what we did and there really wasn't many surfaces to put stuff on. The bed was okay but the pillows weren't comfortable so didn't have a very good sleep and at 6:00 something in the morning, a road crew...

'It was great to find a hotel close to Asheville that had water and power. They have a restaurant on site with a great bartender. Food was delicious. The area is still torn up with a bunch of downed trees, but the main building was clean and quiet. Check in was a bit of a hassle but the staff there was quick to help. Will certainly stay there again as I am working the hurricane damages and will be back. '
