'It’s a lovely hotel - all the rooms are large and didn’t feel at all crowded, even in the bar which was quite busy in the evenings. Bedroom was very large and comfortable, with a nice en-suite shower room. A very good breakfast was provided with lots of choice. My only negative is that it is pretty expensive - although we stayed as a ‘treat’ at the end of a touring holiday in the Highlands and it was very nice! 😃'

'This would actually be a review of the Morangie Hotel in Tain. We were informed just a few weeks before our trip that they have repairs that needed to be done in the Mansfield hotel and that they transferred us to another hotel without an offer of a refund. The Morangie Hotel was a nice looking manor and had lovely stag head and Jacobite sword memerobilia. However shrouded in tacky halloween decorations and buckets laid about to catch leaks around the hotel. It wasn’t the stay we were expecting....

'Overall, had a very nice one night stay. Room was very warm, clean and tidy, what more can one ask for. Serve yourself continental breakfast was very good, with a nice fresh fruit selection and plenty of choice with cereals, bread, jams, etc. Location of the guesthouse is very close to the coastal footpath, for those that like walking, and also the golf course (for those that like walking after a little white ball).'

'Lovely location in the woods, just a short drive of the A9. Perfect to explore the north of Scotland. Close to Golspie, Dornoch and the Black Isle over the Firth. Located on the NC500. Need to go back to explore further North, Wick, Thurso and the 100 miles to John O' Groats. The breakfasts were delicious. The Terrace room was spacious and our hosts were excellent.'
