'We were really impressed with Wenns. Our apartment had a large bedroom and large lounge area, with a small kitchen. It was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay though we could have easily had a lot more time there. Access was via stairs but easy and there was a door straight onto the street so it wasn't necessary to go through the bar. Conveniently located a few minutes walk from he centre and only about 50 yards from a car park that could be prebooked through NCP. A bonus...

'Unexpectedly good. Beautiful Georgian Square close to the harbour. Good facilities in the pub, excellent food and great service. In the room the bed was big and comfortable the room was clean and storage adequate. The bathroom was mostly clean though could do with updating. The extractor fan was terrible and needs to be replaced (it made us laugh it was so loud) the shower within the bath was okay but the lighting could be brighter for shaving and make up. 'There were so many stairs (it does say there are stairs but it was an exceptional amount). No lift which it stated but with arthritis it was very difficult and uncomfortable going up and down several staircases to get to the room. Even the ladies toilet was upstairs - although I found a disabled toilet on the ground floor when I went to breakfast. It would have been good to know about it on arrival. The room was very nice although a little in need of sprucing up. '

'Not the first, and won't be the last time I have stayed here. Very cosy pub, good food, friendly staff and comfi bedroom with easy parking. What else could you wish for? On this occasion, I even was able to help them with a beer dispense issue (my previous profession) so a good stay all round. Looking forward to my next stay.'
