'Het raam van onze kamer op de begane grond ging niet dicht, de hendel zat los. Iedereen kon zo naar binnen stappen. Direct gemeld, er zou iemand komen kijken. Niet dus. De medewerker bij de receptie heeft een geheugen als een goudvis, 5 minuten na je klacht is hij je alweer vergeten. De toiletrolhouder was afgebroken. In plaats van een nieuwe op te hangen stonden er losse rollen, onverschilligheid. Schimmel op de ramen. Hotel ligt aan een drukke weg, je kan nergens heen lopen.'

'Hotel has seen better days. The rooms and public areas could do with a fresh-up. Especially the doors to the wet areas (toilet, bathroom). Our room was difficult to lock as that needed maintenance too. The staff was not able to fix it during our stay. Good and comfortable beds though. Breakfast area was huge so a big buffet to choose from but no egg station. No breakfast menu or freshly made coffee or tea available, only a machine. '

'The check in is SO confusing. We checked in at the castle up the road. They stated we were in the cottage so we went to the cottage which did not have our room number. We went back to the castle and they finally told us to go to the pub and the room was above it. Great room, 2 bathrooms!'

'One of the more stunning views I ever had from my hotel room, looking over the loch that is just across the road. Rooms however would need some upgrade. Hotel is old, which shows in everything being a bit worn out and in smelling a bit musty/mouldy. Staff is very friendly and helpful and breakfast and dinner are good.'
