'small room with odd shape. Narrow hall that opens up to a king size bed. No safe, no fridge. Two closets. The bathroom had a jetted tub. Bed comfortable. Resort had a pool, gym, and guest laundry, none of which I used. The food in the restaurant was excellent (summer berry salad which was amazing and meatloaf was great). '

'The staff at this property is excellent, but overall it’s just plain outdated and dreary. Our room looked nothing like the pictures and had drab wallpaper and dark and dingy carpeting. Quaint and charming doesn’t have to be dark and dreary. If this property would put money into a renovation budget of the main building’s rooms, it would’ve been an excellent stay. 'Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! My husband and I went to Mountain Top for our anniversary, and it couldn't have been more lovely. All of the staff were so warm and welcoming, and between the room, the food and the amenities, we felt pampered and completely at home. And the property is simply breathtaking. This is very likely the beginning of an annual tradition for us! '

'We found the Inn very relaxing. We were traveling back from Canada and wanted to break up the drive somewhat. We were pleased to have a restaurant connected to the Inn, as we really didn’t want to drive anymore that day. A charming place to stay and very reasonable considering it was early September.'

'The Vesper is just the right amount of historic charm mixed with a clean, modern aesthetic. Breakfast was very tasty and made better by causal conversation with other guests. The sound machine in the room and hiking suggestions were a really nice touch! 10 out of 10 would stay here again (but longer next time!).'

'Liz and Rich were (are) wonderful hosts! It honestly felt like we were visiting family. The breakfast is delicious, their home is out of this world -- so cutely decorated, comfortable, clean -- and they're very friendly, accommodating and give great recommendations.
