'We absolutely loved our stay at the Thornwald Mansion. It is nicely secluded in a park yet you are within walking distance to Dickinson College and a shopping center. The property has outstanding amenities and the food selections at breakfast were delicious. The service exceeded our expectations. The room and the bed were comfortable and very quiet. This mansion went under fire and then was rebuilt by the current owner from the ground up paying attention to detail and preserving its history. The...

'Property is older which is fine, but there were some deferred maintenance with the ceiling and leaking wall in the bedroom. Expect to do your own dishes and wash your own linens at checkout. Dishes from previous guest were still in dishwasher. Spiderwebs on ceiling fan and living room light fixture. '

'Great place to stay in Carlisle. The owners are friendly and inviting. Becky is a great cook, the breakfasts were excellent. The home is quiet, beautifully furnished and restored. A fantastic place to stay. I will be back next year.'
