'Because I had never visited Los Alamos when the booking said the place was located in Downtown I had envisioned a more traditional urban city center and not such a small village. But that's on me. As for the Canyon Inn itself it was centrally located, clean and relatively quiet. 'Lovely home in a beautiful place. We enjoyed the screened porch and the bedrooms with their own bathrooms were perfect for our 3 adult children and their partners. It was a great "home base" for visiting our friends in Abiquiu and at Ghost Ranch, shopping in Santa Fe, and hiking at Bandelier and in the Carson National Forest. 'This was a lovely and cozy little adobe cottage surrounded by Floyd's well-kept garden in a country setting. Perfect for one or two people who want a quiet getaway. Having said that, I can't stress enough how the warm and welcoming personalities of Floyd and Ninfa Martinez made my stay there wonderful. 'On the whole we really loved the casa, the neighbors added to our understanding of the Pueblo and its rich history. We enjoyed walking the lanes, chatting with the librarian and taking a walking tour.The casa was very well located for our adventures in Northern NM.
