Welkom bij Sunset Cottage, de perfecte plek om het eilandleven te ervaren. Net buiten uw achterdeur is de bekende Seafood Captain Anthony's Seafood Store, waar Anthony en zijn vrouw JoAnn hun zeevruchten-retailbedrijf bedienen en waar ze thuis bellen. De winkel biedt de meest verse steenkrab, grouper en snapper geld kan kopen. Captain Anthony's achtertuin is uw achtertuin, waardoor u de mogelijkheid biedt om terug te gaan en te praten over de visserij met de kapitein, of loop slechts 50 stappen (geen straten om te oversteken) naar de prachtige witte zandstranden van Anna Maria! Het restaurant Sandbar ligt op minder dan een minuut lopen van uw deur en het geweldige winkelen en eten van Pine Avenue ligt op slechts 2 minuten lopen, waardoor u veel auto-vrije activiteiten kunt genieten. U voert Sunset Cottage door de keuken met de combinatiebad / douche badkamer aan de linkerkant. Dit schattige huisje biedt een queensize bed in beide slaapkamers met een tv in de 2e slaapkamer. Voorzieningen zijn onder meer kabeltelevisie, draadloos internet met hoge snelheid, strandstoelen, strandhanddoeken, propaanrooster en een wasmachine en droger gedeeld met Captain Anthony en JoAnn. Deze charmante woning biedt plaats aan maximaal 4 leden van uw zoute bemanning.

*** Het Captains-kantoor bevindt zich aan de voorzijde van het huisje en deelt een muur met de achterkant van de woonkamer en de slaapkamer met de koningin. Soms wordt het gebruikt door Capt. Anthony en JoAnn. Hoewel het aparte ruimte uit uw woonkamer met eigen ingang is, geven zij u een vergunning voor het gebruik van de ruimte.

Great Beach Getaway
This little cottage is a great location right near the beach. We enjoyed walking down to Bean Point at sunrise and seeing all the snook in the surf. The beach near the cottage is perfect for the kids since it is very shallow and gradual.

Little Mother's Day Get-Away
My friend and I, to celebrate Mother's Day without kids, spend 4 days at this delightful cottage on Anna Maria Island. I have only glowing reports regarding the location and the hosts. This cute and old-fashioned cottage sits in a great location and is in walking distance to shops, the Anna Maria Pier, restaurants and especially, the beach! It sits next to Capt Anthony's fish market which would have been interesting to watch; however, the owners were on vacation so we missed the action. Joanne and Anthony were wonderful hosts of the VRBO, and were the definition of exceptional hospitality. We will miss them and hope to return in the the future.

The property is just steps from the beach. There are chairs & beach umbrellas provided. The kitchen is spacious & well equipped. The owners live on the property & are easily accessible. It is walking distance to restaurants & shops.

AMI is the best
We had a fantastic stay at Sunset Cottage! Just like everyone else says, Captain Anthony and JoAnn are just lovely. Capt. Anthony answered our inquisitive son's many fish related questions and even showed him how to filet a large fish. JoAnn was a terrific hostess, always making sure we had everything we needed. The location of this cottage can't be beat. Easy walking distance to Ginny and Jane E's to beat the morning rush for cinnamon rolls and a short stroll to Pine Avenue shops. We spent a lot of time at the beach because you could walk there in a minute.

Perfect location on Anna Maria
My wife and I brought our infant son for our first family beach trip. Cpt Anthony and Joanne's place was a great home base! The location was absolutely perfect, steps from the beautiful beach, right across from the Sandbar, and right in the middle of downtown Anna Maria. Many coffee shops, breakfast, and dinner places within a few blocks. The cottage was quaint and comfortable, exactly what you see in pictures. And of course Anthony and Joanne were very friendly and welcoming. We're very much considering making this an annual trip, 100% recommend!

Beach Lovers Delight!
What a terrific cottage! Steps from the beach, several great restaurants and golf cart rentals. Beautifully decorated in a beachy theme. Furniture was gorgeous! Updated kitchen appeared to have everything one needed if a meal was to be prepared but we chose to eat out every meal. Front porch area was great, especially if traveling with children. They can play there while adults use the living room. Hosts were charming and don't miss the fish dip! Our souvenirs were fresh crab claws, also not to be missed. Can't wait to visit again.

Owner needs to post hours they are unavailable. Fisherman with nontraditional hours of availability. The cottage is right out of the early 1950’s. Fun to experience Anna Marie Island in the traditional cottage of uneven floors, front porches and accessibility to fresh caught fish.

It was a great location, steps to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The hosts Anthony and JoAnn are amazing, they made our trip even better. They have a fish market, you must try their fish dip, it is amazing and worth every penny. The cottage/house was clean and just what we were looking for.

We enjoyed this little cottage so close to the beach. It had everything we needed inside and out - including plenty of beach supplies. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and communicative. She even made us a fantastic snapper lunch one of the days :) We look forward to returning in the future.

Having always wanted to stay on Anna Maria Island, I was fortunate to have found this little cottage. With it's own vintage vibe and proximity to the breath taking beautiful beach you'll be loving this little gem yourself. Location was the #1 reason I booked here however the owners are one of the top reasons we'll come back! Friendly and laid-back they helped w recommendations and a wealth of knowledge about the island, fishing and great food!! We enjoyed the cottage's vintage character, others may want a more modern choice. Photos are representative.

AWESOME!!! Could not have been better.
The cottage was wonderful, cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect. We are not strangers to Anna Maria Island and this time at a 'new place' was a wonderful. The owners are on property and I fell in love with them and their dogs. Taking the time to get to know Captain Anthony and Joann was absolutely a highlight of our total vacation. We are already planning our next visit!!!

Great location very near beach & restaurants! Hosts are very welcoming. They invited us to a dinner with them! (Cpt Anthony’s freshly caught fish & Joann’s homemade Italian soup!!!!). They gave us excellent suggestions for restaurants & transportation. Cottage needs some freshening up

fantastic location
It's fantastic to be just steps from the beach. Hosts are very friendly. The house is clean, beds are plenty comfortable, ceiling fans are nice. The wall air conditioning was a little loud for my comfort. It's all very informal - we hadn't gotten any communication from the hosts, so we crossed our fingers and rolled up to the fish store hoping someone would be there to let us in (there was). There's no notebook for renters, so I had to find the owner the next day to learn where the beach chairs, grill and shared washing machine were. I wished there was a comfortable place to sit outside. The seating area mentioned in the listing is very much a working space for the fish store, with ice chests and folks coming and going on business - it didn't feel inviting to take a book and my morning coffee out there. The grill mentioned in the listing didn't have any gas and was at the other end of the complex, so we didn't get to use it. Overall, we were happy to find beach lodgings for a spontaneous trip, and enjoyed our time.
