'The cabin was great. It was definitely a home away from home. We got to pet the horses and were able to see the northern lights on a clear day. The only con I have is that our beds were on the softer side and lumpy but it didn’t factor in my rating. My advice is definitely come before sundown because the roads are dark and road is somewhat rocky. Also, get your snacks and/or food before you come cause it a decent drive to find something and most of the stores close early'

'Firs they forgot to send us the code for the lock box. With the bad signal I had in that location it was very difficult to call them. After about 5 attempts they finally picked up the phone and they give me the information which they supposed to do at least 24 hours before our arrival. 'By far the most beautiful private space we stayed in while in Iceland. It is very secluded, quiet and the unassuming exterior conceals an interior that will take your breath away. The price seemed a bit high when we booked it, but after experiencing it first hand I feel it was worth every krona and then some. 'We had an excellent stay at Ásólfsskáli Cottage! The cottage is clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. It’s in a beautiful location on a farm by the mountains, with stunning views and great hiking nearby. Katrin, the owner, provided outstanding service. We lost a SIM card from our drone, which had all our Iceland memories, and she found it in a vacuum bag! We’re so grateful for her kindness and extra effort. We would love to come back and highly recommend this place!'

'This is a friendly, funky little cabin with some unusual amenities. We loved the sunroom and enjoyed being able to be "outside" but still have some protection from the wind and the rain.
