'Très bon séjour, malgré un manque total de communication avec la propriétaire qui ne doit pas parler anglais, qui, après plusieurs tentatives, a bien voulu nous montrer notre appart… Appart très spacieux, très confortable, avec tout le nécessaire et même machine à laver et sèche linge…. Attention où vous mettez les pieds la nuit dans le jardin qui est rempli de déjections d’animaux !!!! Mais parfait pour voir les aurores boréales !!!!!!! Excellent séjour de 2 nuits au calme !'

'We did not receive an email with check inn details. Staf could not be reached, not by phone and no answer on email. The cottage is outdated and too cold inside. You can feel the wind inside! Good location but ridiculously overpriced and non-exisiting communication. No wifi available. Avoid this place!'

'The Westman Islends are an amazing area and a must do in Iceland. The hotel exceeded our expectations and the manager was unbelievably helpful. Only 2 disadvantaged that would not stop me from returning. Although the beds are very comfortable there is barely enough space to get out of bed:) and that could be a problem for heavier people especially when using the bathroom at night. The second issue is that they do not offer complimentary coffe and sugar in the room . We had our own coffee but...

'Huisje is in nieuw staat en staat in een rustige omgeving. Alles wat men nodig heeft is aanwezig. We hebben heerlijk geslapen mede doordat het verkeer 750 meter van de huisjes vandaan verwijderd is.'

'We were greeted at the gate by the sheep and they led us to our cabin. So much fun. The hike to the gorge was amazing. We also got to play fetch with the farm dogs. The cabin was comfortable and clean. The hosts are extremely kind.'

'Das kleine, schon was ältere Cottage bietet alles, was es für einen schönen Aufenthalt braucht. Zu Fuss kann man zu einem Fluss oder Pferdekoppeln laufen. Die Terrasse ist bei sonnigem Wetter schön zum draussen sitzen. '

'By far the most beautiful private space we stayed in while in Iceland. It is very secluded, quiet and the unassuming exterior conceals an interior that will take your breath away. The price seemed a bit high when we booked it, but after experiencing it first hand I feel it was worth every krona and then some. I would love to have stayed a few days so I could really soak in the farm and become even better friends with the resident ponies! It was everything I was hoping it would be! '

'Firs they forgot to send us the code for the lock box. With the bad signal I had in that location it was very difficult to call them. After about 5 attempts they finally picked up the phone and they give me the information which they supposed to do at least 24 hours before our arrival. No apologies or anything like that, it sounded like this is normal and I've seen other gests having the same problem. If you like to stay in a wooden tent for one night is okay but don't pay the price of a normal...

'This is a friendly, funky little cabin with some unusual amenities. We loved the sunroom and enjoyed being able to be "outside" but still have some protection from the wind and the rain. We checked out the bubble room, but with the wind and the rain no one in our group opted to use it--but it is probably a great place to check out the northern lights when it's dark enough. The main cabin had the amenities we needed, but there was no freezer (so we had to eat our desert early) and several lights...

'We have a lovely one night stay at Skalakot. It’s very charming, simple hotel in beautiful surroundings. The bed was comfy and the shower was good. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The spa was small but nice, gets quite cramped if there are more than 4 people in there. I think it would benefit from an outdoor hot tub. Dinner was nice, breakfast was ok. '
