'Disappointing stay in a stylish building with a serious noise problem
We stayed two nights at The Wick, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Hudson. The building is a converted candle factory — a nice piece of history and a promising concept. We’d heard positive things and decided to give it a try.
The good:
We requested an upper-floor room and the staff accommodated us without issue. Check-in was smooth.

'Handsomely decorated boutique hotel right on Warren Street. Easy to access antique stores and restaurants. Also walking distance to train and river front. Highly recommend'
'The location of the property was excellent! The room we had was clean.
Two things that were not good- there is no real kitchen area,(or area to gather outside of our room) it is in a small hallway by the back door and does not have a freezer or ice available.
Our air conditioner did not work properly and woke us up throughout the night.'
'We had a comfy stay at the Nautical Nest. Check-in was super easy. The room was clean and spacious. The AC unit helped keep the room cool on a hot day but turned off and on during the night which is a helpful energy saver but not great for sleep.
Would stay here again.'
'I couldn't believe it when I went into the room. There was not one chair to sit on. Only a bench against the wall. The pillows were so thick that it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep with my head up so high because of those pillows. There was a luggage rack, but there were no dressers to put clothes in. Just two queen beds, one bench, 2 night tables and that's it. Normally when I stay in a hotel there's at least a chair in there to sit on and a small desk. Not at this place it was very...
