Lake Superior Waterfront Home with direct trail access!

Welcome to the cozy Beaver Beach House. Enjoy endless blue water views and the spectacular sunrises in this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin seated steps from the water of Lake Superior on the Au Train Bay. Seconds from the Au Train Bay boat launch, salmon and trout fishing is fantastic. ATV and snowmobile trails are across the street. Au Train Beach is within minutes walking distance. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, numerous waterfalls and endless hikes are moments away. The cabin is situated 30 minutes from Marquette and 13 minutes from Munising. There is a bonfire pit with chairs overlooking the lake. Guests must supply their own fire wood. Spend your nights on the porch listening to the waves and watching the Northern Michigan stars. It’s truly a spectacular cabin to relax in and call home for a while!

Wouldn't Stay Again
There is some room for improvement with this property. The owners did a great job with communication and renovations to try to make this house more accommodating however, there are a few things to mention for future renters. There is NO A/C. Somehow we missed that and with 80+ degree weather we were hot. The owner said to open the windows, but some of the windows didn't have screens and the sliding glass door screen was ripped which let mosquitos in at night. In addition, the window coverings are pitiful and need updating to ones that actually fit the window. They are ALL too small to cover the entire windows which lets a lot of light in. Furthermore, there are NO window coverings in one of the bedrooms with a house next door that can look in the windows while you change clothes. All windows should have window coverings that actually fit the window. When we first walked in there was something beeping. After further investigation, we found one of the Carbon Monoxide monitors was the culprit. Contacted the owner who knew something was beeping because the cleaning person told him, but nothing was done about it prior to our arrival. I changed the batteries in the monitor and it fixed the problem. There was not any kitchen cleaner, limited toilet paper, we did run out of paper towels and had to use our own, almost ran out of trash bags but found more after searching. The bath towels smelled like mold. Way overpriced for what you get. Needs better accommodations for guests.

Cozy Superior
Great place and trip with our little family of 4. 8 year old and 4 year old kids loved it. Fire pit and paddle board put to use and awesome to paddle the shores in morning and evening. Hosts did a fantastic job using the space and well kept. Treated it with the respect the place deserves. Restaurant across the street a gem just like this place. The use of space upstairs, downstairs, bedrooms, kitchen all nicely out together making it feel like anyone away from home. NBA Jam was fun as was the nice play space for the kids. Great location as well close to much adventure or peace and quiet. Thank you for the memories.

Great location with a beautiful view!
We had a wonderful time exploring all the area has to offer. The view was beautiful and accommodations were amazing. Plenty of room for friends and family to relax, play cards and have a bonfire. The hosts were easy to connect with and more than accommodating, this was a great experience and we will definitely stay again.

Amazing home even better location
We stayed here with 3 boys (ages 9-13) and 4 adults. The home was clean and ready when we arrived. Communication with home owners was immediate and they even went out of their way to suggest some local things to do for the kids in conversation. The house location is perfect. You have Marquette close by one way and pictured rocks even closer the other. We did chapel hill hike and the sunset cruise one evening. The home itself in Au Train has amazing views on Lake Superior. We sat out back on the water a lot!! I would recommend the home for a wonderful UP weekend getaway. We had a blast!

More like the ocean than a lake!
Breathtaking views!! Very peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake! At night the waves could be heard crashing on the rocks outside the windows! Cabin was clean and well stocked with amenities. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great Lake Superior Frontage Home
We enjoyed our stay right on Lake Superior! The house was plenty big enough for our family and just as described. It is rocky, but that is clear in the photos, so we took full advantage of rock hunting with our kiddos. Our only complaint would be road noise, but the waves do their best to drown that out!

Short Superior get-a-way
Property was exactly as represented and the hosts were extremely responsive to all our questions. Cottage was just the right size for our extended family of 7. Nice and clean and newly remodeled. We used this location as a base camp for our trips along the lakeshore. My niece paddleboarded at sunrise which was cool - and we had a nice outdoor fire one night. The only downfall is the rocky shore, if you are looking for a place with a sand beach - but sand beaches are very close just down the road. We enjoyed our stay!!

Awesome place!!!
We had a party of 10 for our trip. Adults, teens, kids and an infant. This place was great. Had everything we needed and more. Gorgeous view of the lake from several rooms. The property managers were easy to communicate with and there were plenty of thoughtful things throughout the home. We will be definitely return if in the area again.

The house has a beautiful view, but it is difficult to get to the water. Big rocks We had some water issues and the owner had to have maintenance staff come over. He responded right away. Then we had mice. I wrote the owner and he indicated he could hardly believe it. We caught two and still no visit with traps. I was disappointed. We had to take care of mice by ourselves. The house was musty and the bathroom downstairs is so small, you could barely shut the door. For the amount we paid and the issues we had, we would not rent this house again. Mtammy

A lovely lakeside property!
My family really enjoyed our stay at this property! We have 3 young kids (all under 8 years old), and it was the perfect place. They loved the designated kids space downstairs and spending time outside. Plus, the pack & play and high chair at the house were very convenient. The views are absolutely beautiful, and we loved falling alseep to the sound of waves! Thank you for the hospitality, Kyle & Kayla!

Just what we needed!
The House was the perfect location for our many daily adventures to the east and west.There was plenty of room for 8 adults. The views of the lake were spectacular! We grabbed take out from the Tavern across the road/great food! We stayed Saturday-Thursday and managed to hit most everything we wished to explore from home base! I do recommend this home and we hope to be back to explore more to the west of Marquette. Kayla and Kyle were great and very responsive! Thank you!!

Autumn in Au Train
Our stay was truly wonderful! The timing of our stay couldn’t have been any more perfect with the fall colors. Beaver Beach House was the perfect location being right on Lake Superior and so close to a variety of beautiful hiking trails and the Pictured Rocks Lakeshore. Beaver Beach House was super cozy, clean and spacious and offered several cute sitting areas on the outdoor deck areas while listening to the surf of Lake Superior. Owners of Beaver Beach House were also super responsive and very accommodating!

Clean, comfortable with fantastic lakefront views!
We had a great time, house was just as described and truly had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, we loved the beds (very comfy) and fire pit and outside area was perfect to relax and hang out in. We kayaked out front, saw bald eagles, hunted rocks and enjoyed everything the area has to offer. Nice home base for lots of adventures! Great communication with hosts. Thank you!

First time to the U P
We had a very enjoyable visit to the Upper Peninsula. Beautiful view from the cabin on Lake Superior. This was a good mid-point for our family to meet, coming from east, west and gulf coasts. The color of the water and the Pictured Rocks were prettier than expected.

Great for the family
Great property right on the water with an outdoor fire ring and several outdoor sitting areas to accommodate the quiet reader of the group to the outdoor game playing crew. We really appreciated the details in accommodations for the 16 mo. old. High chair, pack and play, toddler plastic dishes and silverware along with a kitchen play set that kept her entertained quite awhile. Overall, we were outside most of the time and really enjoyed it and the neighbor was a lot of fun as well! The hosts were quick to answer any questions we had, great response rate.

A gem !
This property was perfect for a family trip ! We love Lake Superior and this cabin is a gem we seen spectacular sunrises. Great location and family ready for all ages. We will return. The Beavers were excellent hosts.

Amazing location!
This cute cabin sits directly on Lake Superior with amazing views of the lake! It is also well located for exploring Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The cottage had everything we needed for a nice stay including information about local attractions. We enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine on the deck watching the colors of the sunset over the lake on the first night and the stars were gorgeous. Our daughter loved reading in the hammock swing over the water! The home itself has been lovingly restored but we did have a few minor issues during our stay. The bottom floor is very musty and had very many spiders in the corners of the bedroom and hanging from the tiled ceiling which was not completely intact in all places. We ended up closing up the that bedroom and the teens shared the upstairs bedroom which thankfully had 2 beds. Of no fault of the owners, flies were a nuisance during our stay and we had to be careful every time we entered or exited the house to not let in bugs. In spite of our efforts, the provided flyswatters were put to good use. The weather did turn hot (92 degrees) while we were there and there is not air conditioning in the home but the breeze from the lake and provided fans cooled fairly well. (though a couple of screens had some gapes on the edges) Lastly, we did find a number of hairs in the bedding on one of the beds that we stripped and shook out as there was no time for a rewash before bed and we couldn't find extra sheets. All in all a good stay and an unbeatable location. With a few tweaks, it would be even better.

Everything thing was great and well done. We enjoyed ourselves and kids loved playing in the water and rocks. I gave 4 stars on accuracy only because of the rocks along the shore. Some pictures showed sand but this could have changed easily with storms. Overall a great experience and would do it again! Thanks!
