'We found the apartament with no issues and Caroline (the owner) seemed lovely. The place was very quirky and had a pleasant vibe to it. Unfortunately, this is where the positives end. I was hugely disappointed that the images on hotels.com were labeled completely incorrectly. The room was supposed to have a private balcony with a sea view. 'Simple room on a great location '

'Reception was nice, it seemed we were the only guists and quickly she changed our room from the third floor to the first. There was no elevator and we had heavy luggage. No help. The bathroom was very dirty and outdated, brown tiles, the water at sink didnt run. The toilet holder was loose. Breakfast was a few minutes away but nobody spoke English. Overal it was ok but not worth this money. We stay in much better hotels for less.'

'The hotel texted us the day we were arriving and told us they made arrangements for us to check into a different hotel. No explanation or apology. The other hotel was not on the beautiful island of Ortigia, but by the train station (not a great area). We were very disappointed. It was also hard to find a contact number for hotels.com to help with the situation. The hotel we sayed at was ok, but not quite the magical vacation we were expecting.'
