'This property should be removed from Vrbo’s listings. As other reviews have stated, the rental is filthy, full of broken furniture/appliances, and has several unsafe areas. We spent the first day and a half of our stay, cleaning the place. It is clear that this property has not been inspected or maintained for cleanliness in a long time. This is not the result of one careless guest. This is complete neglect.The home has cobwebs, stuck on grease, dirt buildup, bugs, and mold in multiple areas....

'Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was well prepared and contained a variety of items. I will definitely stay there again.'

'Perfect house for a group of 7 adults. Lots of comfy seating inside and out on the deck and dock. Well stocked with oil, spices, etc. Master bed was very comfortable. Other beds were OK. Dock area is small and not deep water. That didn't matter to us since we went in September. Wifi was very slow but we had 5 people trying to work so more our fault than the house. Overall, an excellent Lake Gaston rental. '

'This is an amazing property. The home is beautiful and sits on a quiet cove just off the main lake. The amenities were plentiful, including a new outdoor pool that we thoroughly enjoyed, games, floats, water toys and a large dock that easily accommodated our boat. The location is perfect - near restaurants and grocery stores. The host, Jenn, could not have been better. She was wonderful to work with, and we would highly recommend this home!!'

'We could not sleep because there was a mouse jumping around in the room! Also, we couldn’t change the thermostat temperature in the room as it needed a security code to change it. The host was nice and talked with us the whole time we had our breakfast. The dutch breakfast was simple and unique. '

'The lock on my door was broken, and the door did not close easily. It required force to shut, and I had to pay close attention and double‑check to ensure it was fully closed. Additionally, the towels did not smell clean, and one of them had a visible stain. There were also flying bugs throughout my room.'
