'This is an historical hotel in use since the 1late 800's. Very quaint period furnishings. Antique furniture throughout with the exception of the flat screen TV and in suite Jacuzzi tub. Very comfortable with nice product in the bath. EXCELLENT restaurant/bar on the 1st floor. The only thing we missed this time was a ghostly encounter!!!!'

'We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was well-appointed, with a large kitchen and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was a blessing since we visited during an extreme heat wave. Lovely yard and driveway parking. Great communication from the hosts. The best part was that it was just steps from downtown Benicia which is a wonderful place to walk, sightsee, shop, and dine. '

'We enjoyed the calm and relaxing nature of the house and its surroundings. The owners were next to us and they expedited our check-in and offered us a late check out if we needed it. They were very kind and easy to communicate with. '

'The owner of this property should be removed from VRBO. She did not communicate with us at all until 5 hours after our check-in time, when she cancelled our reservation. When we tried to communicate with her to get the key she hung up on us. We ended up having to find our own accommodations for 9 people, including two small children, after 9pm. In addition, the fact that this house is now on the market for sale indicates that this person may not even own the property.'
