'The staff was great, but the property is a bit old and needs a good remodeling, the light in the restroom wasn't working, and it wasn't the bulb that was bad, it was some kind of issue with the switch or wiring itself, the room had carpet floor but fills like there is tile floor under the carpet. Otherwise it was clean with no strange odors. for the price and a single night, it was good.'

'Very nice drive up to your room motel in Raton, NM. Has been here since late 1940’s but everything was exceptionally clean with some updates. Didn’t need anything more. Host was very friendly and made restaurant recommendations and which ones to avoid. Wife liked the towels, me too, and comfortable bed and pillows. Coffee in the office was welcome in the morning. '

'There are many people who have overly inflated expectations of what a hotel stay should be. The Springer Station takes those expectations and turns them on their head with a very characterful and charming experience. Sure, it's a shared bathroom place and the door knob on your room turns the wrong way but don't let that detract from the eclectic experience of staying in this historic building. The staff were pleasant enough, busying themselves with Halloween trick or treaters that evening....

'Gorgeous place at edge of philmont ranch. Stunning views and the Southwest style with lovely art and furnishings just perfect. Wonderful breakfast and food to snack on that was included. Staff most helpful. Want to go back next year and stay longer! '
