'Mooi, klassiek hotel op een handige en gezellige locatie in Washington. Ruime kamers met goede bedden. Minpunt vond ik dat ontbijt niet inbegrepen was. Het ontbijt dat je wel kon kopen in The Market vond ik geen aanrader.'

'The Watergate is the most luxurious hotel I have stayed in to date, and it definitely reflects that. I think while the exterior is showing its age with the dated architecture, the interior and the staff do all they can and then some to make up for it. The lobby is beautiful, and so are the rooms. I almost forgot the views of the Potomac also did their fair share of helping with the exterior too. Overall, one of the best experiences I have ever had in a hotel.'

'Tegenover het Witte Huis ligt dit hotel. Tikkeltje ouderwets maar de service is fantastisch. Kamers zijn goed uitgerust met allee technische faciliteiten. Kamer zijn wel klein evenals de badkamer De inrichting is klassiek. Goede amenities in de badkamer van Etro. Maar zoals de taxichauffeur zei: De Hay Adams is meer voor regeringspersonen, overheid, De Four Seasons voor de creatievelingen.......'

'It is a nice hotel in a historic building…The first night I had to stay on the first floor which is half way under ground, like a basement. The room was clean but had a moldy smell and felt dark and claustrophobic. But when rooms opened up next day, they moved me to second floor which was super nice and had no smell. So, it’s a good hotel if you stay second or third floors.'
