'Very pleasant conference / function style hotel. Nothing really wrong with it but a bit impersonal and set on its own away from restaurants and bars. Pool was very dirty - we wouldn't use it. WiFi was slow and patchy. Bed was comfortable and shower excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. '

'We made a booking for 3 nights. Upon arrival we were told that they were full, despite our booking confirmation. We had to wait for 3 hours (welcome drink arrived after 2 hours) to be told that the only options were to stay in a dorm (for price of double room!!) or to go on a trip with them for the full price! Wow, bad managed. Even more, we checked the rooms online and they still had some higher class rooms available. They obviously didn't want to offer that and kept on saying they were full...

'The location is great walking distance to the Rainforest Discovery Centre, Sunbear and Orangutan sanctuary. The breakfast was average, no eggs! But staff were lovely. It’s a comfortable and basic place but we enjoyed it very much.'

On four occasions we had random people enter our room without knocking, which was not okay. Once guy even got cross with us and said we should have locked the door.
