'Enjoyed our 1 night stopover. Comfortable room and a good breakfast. Didn't use the restuarant but the food in the bar was good value and the service was good. Used the spa for a swim and a sauna which was a nice bonus.'

'The rooms come with the charm of an old building, so you will have improvise a little. But possible disappointment by entering the premises is immediately forgotten after meeting with the owner/hotelmanager and tasting the food he serves. He really cares about people and makes you soon feel at home. Value for price too!'

'Check in was great. The hotel itself very clean, tidy and staff accommodating. However, no tea bags in room or decaf coffee. Furthermore the kettle was completely frothed up with limescale and filter was missing from spout, totally unusable. Electric light above bathroom mirror faulty and therefore could not use the electric shaver point attached, this was very disappointing!'

'It's really nice to stay in a place that truly has it all. A restaurant, pub and inn all in one! Staff were delightful and very helpful to a couple foreigners.'

'A nice family stay, quiet village pub. The host was very helpful including recommending an evening meal in the next village which was great (fighting cocks pub). It seems the venue has stopped doing food, but having said that she still provided us with a perfectly good breakfast. The room was clean, a nice little street village view, we all slept well. Great for country walking, a family visit and somewhere quieter in a local pub.'

'Stayed here for 3 nights do a conference locally and it was perfect. Friday enjoyed a beautiful meal in the restaurant. Staff went above and beyond. Very approachable if I had any questions. Looking forward to coming back next year! '

'Really enjoyed our stay thank you. Pleasant welcome from the staff and good facilities. Lovely clean guest house and room. In a great location for the town too. Minor downside is lack of parking (but there are side streets and car parks nearby - it just took us a little while to find one late on a Friday evening). 'This was probably the weirdest hotel experience in my life. The huge manor has been converted to a hotel but has been neglected recently (including a time housing asylum seekers - Google it). The time around 10 of the 100+ rooms are being used so you “rattle around” especially when you’re the only guests!! "Although many stars given by me, my all in all result is 3 stars because of the all day long (24/7) heavily humming noise I heard in my room. Luckily I had a couple of earbuds with me that I was going to use during a pop concert, so I didn't hear the noise during my sleep. My room was a single person room, number 31. So if you get that one offerred, immediatly ask for another room."
