'The best part was when it was quiet and relaxing. But, I also enjoyed Easter weekend, which brought local beach campers and music (next door to the property). Nothing better than walking right onto the beautiful beach each morning. Friendly and helpful staff, and, the guests were also friendly. Had a great vacation and can't wait to return next year.'

'I really appreciate how thoughtful the hostess was. The property is a bit difficult to find and she helped me out as well as helped me when I got ill. '

'We arrived late the day of check-in as it was VERY difficult to find via the address given and they were cleaning the unit, no masks, during a pandemic! Devin told us he was not expecting us until the 6th. It was the 6th! He allowed us to unload our luggage and use the restroom. The place was filthy! We had to run to the store to give them more time. Upon our return I had to clean the kitchen and bathrooms to our standards. There were no kitchen towels and only a few paper towels. When I asked...

'Condo is right on the water's edge with a great view of all the blue colors you could hope for. Rental is fully stocked with everything you will need for your stay. Owner went above and beyond to see that we were taken care of. All of the neighbors we met during our stay were wonderful. '

'This is a lovely resort. It is rustic but that adds to its charm. The staff are friendly, the room is huge, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom/shower is somewhat modern. The beach is stunning and although there are a lot of guests, the resort is large enough that it doesn’t feel crowded. I don’t understand the nasty reviews I’ve read. This isn’t the Four Seasons. The attitude of some reviewers is embarrassing. '

'We loved staying at Fred. Took us a while to understand the slow paced culture of St Croix … a nice change from the fast paced craziness of our home in Washington DC. While there were a few hiccups during our stay - such as no towels; being ignored by staff at bar; etc - the Fred after we complained made things right. Thanks, Fred, for an incredible stay on St Croix. We will stay there again.'
