'This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a clean, no frills place to stay. The upgrades are nice and really create a comfortable space. The location was perfect for us to visit our Syracuse student and also to venture into Skaneateles. The owner provides lots of thoughtful extras that make you feel welcome and glad you came. Good old fashioned personal service which is refreshing in todays world. '

It looks to be outside of Skaneateles and technically that is true, but it is 5 minute drive next to the lake with beautiful homes, etc. The building itself is beautiful, old but with a lovely aesthetic. 'The Gate is a hidden gem! Super clean, super comfortable, fantastic shower...everything was like new! This place was excellent for a couples weekend getaway. We really enjoyed having our own kitchen with the relaxing living space. A nice sized bedroom with the most comfortable bed ever! Everything was perfect, including the ease of walking into town to shop, dine and have drinks! To top it off, I left some clothing items behind and Seth the owner called and offered to mail the items to...
