'Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Indoor water park is geared towards smaller younger children. Outdoor pool was nice. The lodge portion of the hotel needs major renovations to the bathrooms as there was mold and wallpaper coming off the walls. The AC units need to be updated. Entry doors need to be reset as they dont seal completely even though they are new. Price was great but you do get what you pay for. Room part was clean and comfortable though for a overnight stay.'

'The location was excellent. It’s right on the beach. the shuttle service to and from Sheppler was top-notch service. Housekeeping cleaned our rooms every day. The maintenance guy was beyond amazing. Make sure bonfires and s’mores every night. The breakfast was pretty decent as well. Only minor thing I would mention is the bathrooms were small and the toilets could use an upgrade. Otherwise, it was an excellent day and I would definitely recommend if you want to stay right on the beach.'

'This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The room had a front and back door. The back door going out to the outside area looking at the water. I did not realize the back door was not locked. I had flipped the metal latch over the door to ensure additional safety. Someone tried to come into that door. Luckily, I had secured the metal latch. 'This is an adorable B&B and the proprietors were so kind. My flight was horribly delayed (and stressful as I almost didn't find a way to even get to Cheboygan to pick my son up from camp) and I didn't end up arriving until 3:00 in the morning. I was texting with Ann and sure enough she was sitting on their back porch waiting for me when I arrived. I slept through breakfast and she had saved some for me that she reheated when I was up.
