'We had a fabulous 3 night mid-week stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were attentive and really friendly and the food in the restaurant was exquisite. We had intended to find other places to eat during our stay but the food was so good here there was absolutely no point. I would highly recommend this hotel.'

'The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes'

'Great location for the beach and town. Nice hotel. Staff are friendly but not really efficient. The youngsters dealing with breakfast could really benefit from more training and perhaps supervision. Getting a drink in the evening can be laborious unfortunately. Room was comfortable but walls are thin due to the age of the hotel. Overall pleasant. '

'We stayed in Haven Hall and had such a great experience there! The owner David came to greet us and showed us around his property which they renovated for 4 years prior to opening as a boutique hotel. The hotel has beautiful decor inside and a spectacular waterfront. We were asked in the evening what we wish for a breakfast on the next day and they made it exactly the way we requested. We wish we spend more days on the island and definitely would recommend this hotel for everyone who is visiting...
