We tonen nu ons huis voor verhuur begin juni 2019. Veel plezier, zoals we hebben !!
Works Wonders is een treffend vernoemd huisje aan het strand dat elke keer dat we blijven dat precies doet. Het huis werd gebouwd door Bob Soto (de vader van het moderne duiken in het Caribisch gebied) en was jarenlang het huis van de familie. Het werd gebouwd om lang mee te gaan en was een overlevende van Ivan in 2004, toen velen niet bleven staan. Hoewel het in de loop der jaren in zijn vorige glorie is hersteld, hebben we de eerste toverdrank van ons eigendom besteed aan het toevoegen van een paar voorzieningen en moderne accenten tijdens ons verblijf. We hopen dat u geniet van uw bezoek en neem gerust contact met ons op voor feedback.
We verwijzen naar het huis als een "cottage" omdat het die serieus Caribische eiland sfeer heeft. De afgelegen locatie met wat voelt als een volledig privéstrand (hoewel alle stranden van Cayman als openbaar worden beschouwd), maar op bijna 3000 vierkante meter, slaapt het comfortabel 10 met een zeer rustig en privéverblijf. De zichtbare houten balkconstructie samen met het traditionele Caribische kleurenschema heeft echt de toon gezet voor een ontspannen week weg van je normale routine. U zult misschien nooit het vredige en rustige uitzicht verlaten vanuit het huis van het geluid ....
Maar wanneer u ervoor kiest om erop uit te trekken, hoeft u niet ver te gaan om van alle Grand Cayman te genieten. De centrale locatie van Works Wonders biedt gemakkelijke toegang tot Rum Point, waar de modderstromen een must zijn; naar de wijken Georgetown en Camana Bay, waar je prachtige ervaringen zult vinden voor zowel winkelen als dineren (Cayman staat bekend als de culinaire hoofdstad van het Caribisch gebied); en natuurlijk duiken en snorkelen dat de beste ter wereld is. En spreken over de beste, 7 Mile Beach, jaarlijks uitgeroepen tot een van de top 3 stranden in de wereld ligt op slechts 20 minuten rijden.
De lijst gaat maar door. Van zoutgrotten tot het blauwe leguanenreservaat tot zwemmen met de schildpadden op Spotts Beach, Cayman heeft voor elk wat wils. Maar aan de andere kant, met enkele van de beste botvissen ter wereld, net buiten de achterdeur in Frank's Sound, kan Works Wonders je thuis gewoon thuis bezig houden.

Wonderful Property
The house was perfect for our stay as a family. There were 10 of us and there was plenty of room. Everything was clean when we arrived. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals and sitting around the island to talk. The back patio is the place to be!

We had a group of 7 that stayed for 5 nights. The property is a bit away from the main tourist areas and that was exactly what we were looking for. The kayaks and paddle boards were used daily! You have your own little beach and the water was not above shoulder depth for a good 1/4 mile out so I felt comfortable letting the kids go on their own. The water was crystal clear. The home was comfortable with all of the amenities one needs. We plan on coming back to this place next year. Our contacts were very quick to respond to any questions or needs. Close to restaurants and grocery stores (Fosters was the best for selection and prices). Literally won't stay anywhere else!!

We spent a week in Works Wonders. Simply put we could not have asked for anything more. Spacious, tasteful, good beds, wonderful AC, lots of room for the 8 of us, a lovely Pool, lounge chairs, high top bar set up for snacks outside, kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, life jackets, beach chairs! The East End is the place to stay so you can get a feel for the island as it should be and still is away from the madding crowd!

It's difficult to put into words the joy, peace, and relaxation we experienced at Wonder Works. Our group of seven, ranging in age from 37 to 73, found something to love at every turn. The well-equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, and comfortable beds made our stay effortless, with plenty of space for everyone to unwind. The pool was a refreshing retreat, and the free-roaming chickens provided unexpected entertainment. But above all, it was the breathtaking beauty of the place that truly captured our hearts. Grand Cayman is a lovely island with little poverty. The island is surrounded by a barrier reef so the water is gentle. There are so many fun things to do. Our hosts were great and was the management company. We had no issues at all so did not need them. They had communicated beautifully in advance. Highly recommend this home. It is far enough away from everything, but close enough too. We enjoyed Sting Ray City out of RumPoint and the wonderful eBike tour of the island. Many in the group are begging for this location for next year's defrosting trip.

Exceptional House!
Works Wonders is a truly marvelous house-- it is even nicer than its photographs! Extremely comfortable, well-furnished, well-stocked with kitchen equipment (with well-labeled cabinets and drawers), comfortable beds and couches. Beautiful beach with plenty of outside furniture. Spotless when we arrived. Property manager answered our few questions in minutes. Cannot recommend this property more highly!

Fantastic peaceful beach house
We absolutely loved our stay. The house was comfortable and clean, great for multiple couples. The private quiet beach was exactly what we were looking for, away from the hustle and bustle of the west side of the island, but close enough to access everything on the island. The water and views were gorgeous. The pool was perfect for cooling off. The kitchen was well equipped (other than maybe needing another pan or 2), but it had oil, spices, coffee, filters. Communication with the host was great and they offered several great recommendations for food, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Paradise Found!
We had an amazing time at Works Wonders. Secluded area on Cayman that was a paradise. House rolls into screened porch rolls into pool deck rolls into beach and then the ocean right there. The ocean can only be about 50 feet from the house. Amazing. The four bedrooms and the baths have us plenty of room. Communication was great. We also appreciated that, sure to an emergency, we had to push out trip back by a day. Given that the house was not rented after our stay the hosts generously to allowed us to push the whole trip back a day. Highly recommend and hope we have the chance to come back.

Perfect extended family vacation
This property is away from the busy touristy part of the island. It is beautiful. The house is perfect for big groups. We had an extended family vacation. The one thing that would make this property perfect, which I know the owners can’t do anything about, is entry to the “beach/ocean” right in front of the house. The owners provide an excellent solution with the paddle boards and kayaks to make it out to a part that you don’t sink when you stand up though. We found plenty of other beaches close by that did allow that beach entry to the water. Favorite one just a few miles down the road was colliers beach. Over close to the over crowded seven mile beach was cemetery beach that was perfect and not at all crowded. The customer service / hospitality we received from the owners and the rental management team was truly the best I’ve ever experienced. This was a perfect vacation.

Incredible stay!
The house was beautiful, and everything was in working order. The property managers were very responsive. The only problem was that they never emailed me the lock box code and Wi-Fi password before check in. That has never happened to me before, so I didn't realize until we were minutes away from the house. Thankfully, they responded quickly because we had a car full of perishable groceries! The beds were comfortable, and the pool was clean. The kayaks and paddleboards were great! There were some jellyfish in the water so make sure you're careful if you're swimming or wading through. They even left shampoo, conditioner, soap, tp, life jackets, sand toys, and extra blankets. This house was just great!

Relaxing Getaway
We had an amazing stay in this beautiful home. It had plenty of space, all the comforts of home, and was our own private, peaceful, and relaxing getaway. The A/C was great, beds were comfortable, and the home was very clean! Our family enjoyed being outside in the pool, paddleboarding, kayaking, and watching all the sweet roosters run around. Fit our needs perfectly
This property was so peaceful, away from the traffic of Georgetown and central to almost everything. Everyone in my family had their own bedroom and space. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to cook most of our meals in. And of course the kids loved the pool! The kayaks and paddle boards were used a lot since the beach was not good for wading, but sitting on the deck with my family listening to the waves did wonders for my soul.

Beautiful, private retreat!
Our group of 3 couples had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the amenities available at the house. 3 of the 4 bedrooms have ocean views, and 2 of the 4 bedrooms have attached bathrooms with the other 2 bedrooms sharing a bathroom. The kitchen, dining area, and living room were plenty big and well appointed for meals in and family game nights. The pool and deck area outside offered both sun and shade to enjoy the direct ocean access just steps from the deck - including 2 kayaks and 2 standup paddleboards. The internet/wifi was fast enough for video calls and steaming. The property manager was very responsive to questions, made great recommendations, and even helped facilitate surprise birthday decorations! The location is away from the busier West End, about a 35 minute drive from the airport, which made for peaceful, quiet surrounding at the house. Our group had a great time and would recommend this rental!

Great family fun!
This property was beautiful, right on the beach and somewhat secluded. We loved the kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling equipment. They really enhanced our enjoyment. House was very clean and nice. Loved the balconies, enclosed porch, patio chaise lounges and pool. Location to many activities was about 30 minutes but we had rental cars and was worth the drive and seclusion. Several restaurants were nearby.

Beautiful Caribbean water!
Wonderful for three couples traveling together. The pool was used daily and was greatly appreciated because there is no beach entry worthy of swimming. Once you wade out through the mud the water at the reef is incredibly clear. We took the kayaks out daily and tried out stand up paddleboards. The kitchen was equipped nicely. Short drive to rum point. Only thing that would improve is a dock to bypass the muck. Loved the visiting geckos and chickens

Had everything we needed
Where do I start....the house was very clean, the beds comfortable, the sheets soft, kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. We loved using the kayaks and paddle boards. Loved the pool and the peaceful Frank Sound. We were happy to find the little extras like snorkeling gear, foam noodles and life vests. It was perfect. We ran low on gas for the grill and the manager had a new tank there within 20 minutes. I would describe this property as "Beautiful, Perfect and Private".

Private and Peaceful
We had a wonderful stay at Works Wonders. You can not beat the privacy of this location. Private pool with your own beach and no visible neighbors. Enjoyed taking the kayak out and relaxing on the property. For restaurants we would highly recommend Tukka East for views and food. Blue Rock is a little bar with great food, good place when you need a break from the sun. Best and closest liquor store. Jacque Scott on Frank Sound Rd. Your maps will likely tell you otherwise, don't believe them. Fosters grocery on east end has everything else you need, easy drive. Overall we would recommend driving east and north as they are less busy. The closer you get to boden town the busy the road gets. ***If you are from US request owner to send you a pin of the property. Neither of our maps on our phones picked up the address sent, it's about a mile off.

Our Stay at Works Wonders
The house was simply great. Everything worked perfectly, it was well supplied, the pool was outstanding (clean, perfect temperature), and we just really enjoyed our vacation here. It is on the quiet side of the island, which was our desire. The beach entry isn't ideal for swimming, but it was perfect for use of the supplied paddle boards and kayaks. The water pressure and hot water was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. This house was perfect for 4 adults and 3 children with room for more. Communication with owners and manager was smooth and easy.

The rooms were spacious, kitchen had everything needed to cook in, and East End was quite with multiple restaurants. This Worked Wonders for us!!!
Our stay at Works Wonders was just what we needed! This was our first time at Grand Cayman and we loved the location of the cottage! It gave us the peace and privacy we look for during our vacations with the combination of being able to easily get to the east end area (Rum Point/Kaibo) and to Seven Mile beach the other way! We also liked that we were close to the botanic gardens (saw parrots and iquanas there) and Crystal Caverns. We loved star gazing at the cottage at night and we brought mini boats to do boat races in the pool and floaties to lounge in during the day! The kitchen had everything we needed for when we ate there (loved the blender to make fruit drinks and bowls) and the gas grill was great. And everything was so clean and organized! We enjoyed naming all the wildlife we saw at the cottage - the hermit crabs, roosters, and lizards and we saw some big fish swimming and a crane in the morning in front of the cottage. We enjoyed the restaurants Kaibo for the beach bbq, Tukka East (do the 5 p.m. bird feeding there!), Thatch and Barrell and in the West we did Calypso and Island Naturals. And a sweet treat at Sweet Dreams which is close to the cottage! For beaches we did Governors Beach, Cemetery Beach, Westin for a little snorkeling, Starfish Point (saw starfishes) Rum Point, Smith's Cove, and Spotts Beach. We enjoyed the 9:30 p.m. Bioluminescence Boat Tour with Cayman Kayaks too! We can't wait to return to Grand Cayman and to Works Wonders for sure!!!

We arrived to a spotlessly clean house, everything in place, very welcoming, very comfortable. Plenty of room for all of us. The only issue concerned the pool, when we reported it, a person came out early the next morning and made all well again. Totally recommend this place.
