Tijdloze hut op een rustige landweg

Wij zijn Superhosts op Airbnb met 5 sterren en meer dan 50 beoordelingen. Onze gezellige 1830's hut op 10 hectare is net op de weg van een adembenemend uitzicht over het Noordoost-Koninkrijk. Zeer rustig, met vrijwel geen verkeer maar de postbode eenmaal per dag. Het huis is onmiskenbaar rustiek, maar charmant en ingericht met geliefd antiek. Open plattegrond - badkamer alleen kamer met een deur. Kinderen 7 jaar + welkom. Enkele recensies van ons eigendom op Airbnb: "Wat een fantastische, coole, unieke ruimte om te verblijven. Deze oudere hut heeft een echt interessant antiek decor en boeken, en ik hield van de unieke verlichting; het droeg echt bij aan het rustieke gevoel van het huis. De eigenaren hebben echt aan alles gedacht bij het ontwerpen van de ruimte en het opbergen van de ruimte voor gasten, en we hebben echt de kleine extra's op prijs gesteld. Dit is de perfecte ruimte voor koppels en gemakkelijk genoeg te vinden ... En wat een prachtig uitzicht om wakker te worden! Cabot is een geweldig stadje met een kleine markt en Harry's Hardware (hardware / bar / livemuzieklocatie). We zouden erg blij zijn om hier weer te verblijven als we in de buurt zijn! " - Monica. En nog een van Lindsay: "Jennifer's huis was perfect voor een weekendje weg. Elk hoekje was mooi en perfect ingericht en het hele huis voelde gezellig en comfortabel aan. ... Het was zo ontspannend om de hele dag te wandelen en thuis te komen en samen te koken en op de bank te knuffelen met een leuk boek en zelfs niet te denken aan gemiste oproepen of vergaderingen. Het huis ligt dicht bij Groton State Forest, Kettle Pond State Park en Peacham Pond ... Ons verblijf was perfect en we hielden van het prachtige landschap - we kunnen niet wachten om terug te komen! " en ten slotte een van Lucas: "De cabine was prachtig. De open plattegrond werkte goed voor ons. Perfect voor een stel of gezin. Jennifer was een uitzonderlijke gastheer en reageerde erg snel toen we vragen hadden. We hielden van het verkennen van de omgeving en vonden het een geweldige introductie tot Vermont. Zou zeker terugkomen. "

Visiting family in the area
Our visit was a combination of visiting with our son and partner when they were available and venturing out on our own when they were working. Arriving in the dark, the goggle map and Jennifer’s directions were perfect. The front porch light assured us we were in the right spot. Everything was as described in the listing; however, worries about being chilly never materialized and the bed was very comfy and warm. One big plus is the well stocked refrigerator with a full sized freezer. We tend to bring pre made meals frozen to meals to reheat and fill our cooler with frozen meat from the farmers markets for our 22 hour drive home. The cottage was a perfect base for day trips. We didn’t explore the immediate area, but the massive old trees (maples?) lining the road in both directions were magnificent. Favorites included the Village Restaurant in Hardwick for breakfast and Harry’s Hardware in Cabot for hanging out after the Montpelier farmers market-beer and great nibbles inside an old fashioned hardware store.

Cozy cabin with beautiful fall views
Our stay at this charming cabin was truly unforgettable! The location was perfect surrounded by picturesque farms, grazing cows, and nearly no light pollution, giving us a breathtaking view of the stars each night. We took the host's recommendation for a sunset walk nearby, which offered incredible views of the surrounding area, and it was a highlight of our trip. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described on the listing. The host was incredibly attentive, answering all of our questions within minutes and providing helpful suggestions throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Perfect for us!
We LOVED this cabin! Quaint, quiet, and a bit quirky, it is a genuine antique cabin in a pretty spot on a dirt and gravel road, off the beaten path. We loved the vintage/antique touches, the beamed ceiling and the wide pine floorboards, worn down by age. It was more spacious than we expected, and was thoughtfully well supplied with everything we could possibly need. Jennifer, the host, was very responsive and all the information she supplied was accurate. We hope to be able to stay there again next summer!

Charming stay in a beautiful place
We were in town for a family event and found the cabin to be a lovely and interesting spot for our stay. It was a rainy weekend, but it cleared enough for a couple of beautiful walks down the country road. The host provided some a bit of food in the fridge, including some famous Cabot cheese!! Hope to visit again in the fall!

Charming Country Cabin
I really enjoyed my stay. The cabin was very clean, and much more spacious than what I expected. This is the perfect cabin for a single person, a couple, or 2 people who know each other well as the sleeping areas do not close off from the rest of the cabin. Very remote
The cabin itself was fantastic this was a charismas present for my fiancé. The property to the right had junk in yard old tires fallen down shed etc. etc.. To left of cabin was eye sore along with a lawn mower coved by very tall grass so was kind of embarrassed and disappointed from property keep up. If owners can just clean up yard some i feel it would be much better.

A charming cabin for our getaway
We had a wonderful and peaceful extended weekend at this lovely cabin, which was surprisingly roomy, very comfortable, and filled with antique furniture and books. The village of Cabot was just "down the hill" - about 2.5 miles away - and the local market, hardware store, and cafe were a useful and nearby resource. The cabin is on a dirt road, and provided plenty of opportunities for long walks with practically no traffic. We highly recommend this cabin, and will definitely consider it again for a longer stay.
