'Our stay at was absolutely wonderful! The hotel was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and easy to access. While there is no on-site front desk, the owner made the check-in process seamless by providing all the necessary details the night before—super responsive and attentive to ensure we had everything we needed. 'Shabby - shabby - chic Historic Pennwells. Pros: Lots of character. Very friendly staff - but everyone is friendly in Wellsboro. Good restaurant and tavern on site. They share the same menus. The interiors of each are unique and terrific. The hotel is in the center of town and walkable to everything. Cons: old and shabby - but it's a bit cool at the same time.'

'My parents stayed at this location for an overnight trip in the mountains and it was their first staying there. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay and loved the feature of the balcony/patio in the room and the view of the mountains was spectacular and having a full-size refrigerator was convenient to have since you could store more drinks in it compared to other hotels. Yes, the kitchenette had some wear and tear dust but nothing major to report when it comes to things they did not like about...
