'We stayed in room 113. The view was expansive facing the sea and Tantegel castle. We arrived after Tantegel closed but took the hike from just outside the hotel grounds. It was beautiful. We had drinks in the bar and dinner in Irina’s restaurant. Excellent food and the staff were extremely kind!'

'Our stay was a special treat to end a holiday we were already on in Cornwall for the week ending 22/09/24 Everything was lovely & the hotel was interesting considering it was a prison!! 'A great starting point to visit Cornwall because the atlactic and southern coast lines as well as the western part of Dartmore National Park are reachable within an our (of so) by car. 'Great place to stay, food good, comfý bed and the staff are all extremely helpful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when going to that part of Cornwall. My only negative comment is the indoor pool was cold and it has a outdoor jacuzzi which is cold too, they have just had this refurbished so maybe management will be improving the problem. They provide a shuttle bus to Polzeath and Rock, from Rock you can get the little ferry across to Padstow. The area is quite and relaxing with a few restsurants...
