Deze bescheiden verhuur is perfect voor het gezin op zoek naar een thuis weg van huis waar ze samen kunnen genieten van tijd en ontspannen. Leun achterover in de grote woonkamer, compleet met een open haard, veel zitplaatsen en een geweldig uitzicht op de buitenlucht. Voor maaltijden is er een volledige, open keuken en u kunt dineren in de bijgevoegde ontbijtbar of in de formele eetkamer. Deze verhuur omvat ook een gloednieuw dek met veel buiten zitplaatsen, een eigen bubbelbad en een gas grill evenals een vuurplaats aan de rivier.

Het Redwood Coast River House ligt op een perfecte locatie voor het verkennen van de kust van Noord-Californië, de nationale parken van Redwood en de kust van Zuid-Oregon. Deze verhuur is ver genoeg naar het oosten waar het ook veel van de zomerse kustmist ontwijkt, dus je zult veel zonnige dagen hebben! Een verblijf hier plaatst u direct aan de rivier om te vissen, zwemmen, kajakken en wild te bekijken in uw eigen achtertuin. Maak een rit van 19 mijl naar het noorden naar Brookings, Oregon, wandel over de paden in Jedediah Smith Redwood National Park, acht mijl naar het zuiden, ga naar de vele stranden, of verken het centrum van Crescent City voor tal van winkels en eetgelegenheden, slechts 12 mijl van uw voorkant deur.

Sulfur smell and stove not working
The water coming out of the tap smelled so strongly of sulfur that even just running the water would make the entire house stink. Property manager told us that it wasn’t safe to drink the water, but this was only after I reached out to ask. The stove is not working. I read a review from 2022. That said it wasn’t working then.. Seems like the stove doesn’t work on a regular basis because there is a plug-in stove readily available. The hot tub was caked with a disgusting yellow grime that I suppose comes from the sulfur in the water, but rendered it useless to us. Otherwise, otherwise, clean as advertised.

Perfect location, layout of the house and view from the huge deck! However, many updates/fixes need to be made. During our stay we dealt with no stovetop (was brought a hot plate), hot tub jets didn’t work proper due to FLO error, toilet leak, shower door doesn’t close and an overall musty smell by one of the bathrooms. Overall, a decent place, but more issues than I want to deal with on vacation. Was promised monetary discount for our trouble, unfortunately no follow up yet.

We booked this stay because of the images of the view of the river from the deck and access to a hot tub. To our disappointment, there was no view of the river from the deck as the shore line was overgrown with foliage/brush over 6ft high from the deck level. This is in contradiction to the images posted on VRBO. I am not sure when the images of the river view were originally taken but the overgrowth has to be at least 3 years old. The hot tub needed cleaning and servicing as the filter did not appear to be replaced or spray cleaned for quite some time. There some items in the house that should be tended to as well: worn out electrical outlets, plumbing fixtures(in both showers), front screen door, unstable toilet in master bath, master shower door and an outlet box to be secured from pulling out from the wall in the bedroom #2.

Pleasant home by the water -quiet with lots of birds
We got there late one evening. The home is open along the river. Quiet and relaxing. Fire pit and rear porch are great - we enjoyed them. Great starting point for the ocean and redwoods. Seafood in town is 20 min away. River is nice although the shrubbery has grown up since the online photo. Northern lights came on - fantastic! This is an older home - needs a few minor improvements but the management company was very responsive to a couple issues we found.

Really disappointed
There were so many things that weren’t working that worked in the prior year. We had a great time last year but it wasn’t the same experience this go round. We cooked in the dark had issues with the bbq . Door to bathroom not locking. Had my disabled dad in the master who couldn’t shut the shower door something was wrong there. The electrical outlet in guest bedroom was hanging out of the wall. When we were hot we went to look for the fan that was in the closet last trip. It too was missing. We were really looking forward to using the spa and after paying a $LARGE cleaning fee we found a bandage in it. The jets weren’t strong at all. The old spa was awesome I wish it wasn’t replaced. I felt like we wasted money and were depressed about everything the whole time. Not happy to spend almost 3 times our mortgage for 8 days and only have the river to enjoy.

It was a beautiful clean cozy home only bummer was that the hot tub wouldn't heat up so we couldn't use it which is why we rented the place, however, we were credited for that which I really appreciate. Absolutely peaceful and beautiful and we definitely will be back.

Wanted a jacuzzi for Christmas for my family and it was broke never got to use it
Booked this beautiful view with a jacuzzi a month before. Arrived and was excited to get in a hot jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was ice cold. Immediately called the host and they said sorry for any inconvenience but we won’t be able to send anyone out until the morning. I booked this place for the jacuzzi and the view for 2 days. So why isn’t it hot when I arrive? So morning comes and no one has reached out to me. 11am rolls around so I call Vacasa. They said they are working on it. Meanwhile I keep checking the jacuzzi and it’s still ice cold. I live on the river but I just don’t have a jacuzzi. So time is wasting and I only get to see my sister 2 times a year. So more time goes by and my sister said she seen a man with a beard walk up and lift the jacuzzi lid and then shut it and we thought he would come to the door and say he fixed it. She looked outside for his car and no car. So the owner of this property must live next door. So you couldn’t take care of the problem. Then I call back Vacasa and they said that they had sent the housekeeper over and she said no one was home and she left a flyer. Lies! We had been there since we checked in the night before. Someone is being shady. I just wanted to soak with my family and look at the beautiful view. So more time goes by and I feel like I have been on the phone my whole vacation. So I keep checking and I feel like I’m in a nightmare and I’m going to wake up. What they ask for a night for a mobile home is to much. Nothing against mobile homes. So I go to call Vacasa back and the host won’t take my calls because every time I call it rings once and disconnects. So now I feel fully frustrated I rented this for only 2 nights and it’s the worst vacation ever! I have booked through VRBO so many times and absolutely loved every one! Not this time unfortunately! So I reached out to VRBO and they said they would get on it and gave me a case number. So I feel that if your going to post a picture of a Jacuzzi and that’s your first picture with a beautiful view it should be working right? Take it off your amenities if it doesn’t work! I feel fully unsatisfied. Vacasa said they would refund my first night and get the Jacuzzi working the next day. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN! I feel I should be refunded the whole amount for it being misleading and for all my troubles. I need a vacation after my vacation! Plus it was really dusty and the stove needed replaced. The whole place needs upgrades. Hot water ran out for bath too! Run!

Vacation from hell
The location and surrounding area were great. We had appliance breakdown and left messages for vacasa local manager and never heard from him for remainder of stay. Amenities listed were barely available for 8 guests for 4 days. Two rolls toilet paper, no garbage bags. House was open and airy. Plumber was scheduled to do work on water filtration (which is pumped directly from river) and was going to turn off water for couple hours...he left but indicated that current system looked as though hadn't been serviced for at least 6 mos but more like a year.. one elderly person in party spent 24 hours extremely I'll from consuming tap water. Kitchen pots and pans were very used...teflon peeling etc...and stovetop shorted out during meal preparation...we all have a very bad taste regarding this entire venture.

Comfortable and clean
Was a nice comfortable getaway, a few up keep issues but nothing that interfered with our stay. Very nice for a weekend get away. Rained most the time we were there so we didn’t get to use the hot tub but following the instructions the host left I was able to get the hot tub heated up nicely (and then it started to rain after it warmed up). Few minor up keep issues came up, such as only 2 of the 4 stove burners worked, the dishwashers detergent drawer didn’t open while it ran, bed squeaked every time one of turned over, half the light bulbs in both bathrooms needed to be replaced. But none of that was a major issue, still had some working burners to cook on, comfortable bed to sleep in, enough light to see by, dishwasher got dish clean (on the second go around, just tossed a pod in rather than used the compartment).
