'We had the best time at the Shingle Shack! The house was spacious and comfortable. It is has a very homey feel to it. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. There is a great little market within a few minutes drive that we v bought all of our groceries at. The kayaks were fun to take out into the lake. The beach fire pit is going to be hard to top for all future vacation rentals. We did not use the bunkhouse during our stay. The lake is absolutely beautiful.Perfect for swimming,...

'My three sons, their wives and children. And I stayed here for a week. Plenty of room. Lots of extra roll away beds and bed linens. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, glasses and dishes. The house was bigger than it looked from the outside. 'Nice little walk to the beach and not even the 3 year old complained. The host was very responsive when I had questions/concerns. Great place for a larger group.'

'Lake is not swim able. Kitchen needs more utensils for cooking. Kitchen light does not work. Beds in bunk room have terrible mattresses. Location was good except for traffic noise. Clean. Nice stay for a retreat. '

'This is a beautiful home with an incredible view of Crooked Lake. Local activities for us in Petoskey, Harbor Springs and Boyne included yoga, golf, spa day and farmers market. Lake activities included kayaking and paddle boarding. The kitchen was fantastic for creating some delicious meals and the decks allowed for some peaceful discussions while lake gazing. Accommodations are definitely five star '

'Overall things were fine. Some things could use updating. In particular the heat system was extremely loud and made it difficult to sleep. Mind you we were there in October for fall colors. Mattresses could use a refresh too Host was awesome and I would consider renting again.'

'Spent a week at Loon Lodge for a family vacation. We had a great time kayaking, swimming, and hanging out by the water. The house had everything we needed--plenty of bath and beach towels, lots of floats and a lily pad mat, and fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. Our teens liked having their own space in the bunkhouse. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing, but close to town for necessities or a meal out. We also rented a boat and it was a very easy process. Sara was very easy to communicate...
