I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The grounds are absolutely stunning—an old manor house with plenty of outdoor space, making for a peaceful and quiet retreat. The staff were incredibly friendly, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free.
As expected with an older building, there are no lifts, which wasn’t an issue for me, but it might be for those who struggle with stairs. The room itself was amazing—spacious and much bigger than our last stay. The shower was powerful, and the room was well-equipped with tea, coffee, and biscuits. There were plenty of plugs for charging, plus a desk, which was a nice touch.
The only downside was the very soft mattress, which unfortunately left me with some backache. It’s a shame because everything else was perfect.
Parking was plentiful, with spaces available both at the front and back of the hotel. Overall, a wonderful stay—I’d love to return, but I’d have to check if firmer mattresses are available!
