'We wanted to feel like the locals so loved staying at the Bruner's cottage. The cottage was clean and light. Best sleep I've had in a while - bed was comfortable. The Bruners made sure we had everything we needed and were very accommodating (including fresh papaya picked by their son) and loved being greeted each day by Huckelberry. If we ever come back to Hawaii and need a place to stay, we are definitely booking this cottage. '

'I've stayed in the Kailua are on previous trips to Hawaii and the location of this property is unbeatable if quick, easy access to the beach is what you want. The pros: location, well stocked beach toys and gear, pool. Communication with the owner was easy and they responded immediately. The Cons: Very tiny kitchen, living room and dining room. It's about 200 sq ft for all 3 rooms combined. All the bathrooms are upstairs so if you have lots of luggage, the spiral staircase becomes tedious to...

'The location and description of the cottage is 100% accurate. It's a beautiful, peaceful location just steps from the beach. You're also within easy driving distance to all the attractions of the North Shore. You can easily have a morning swim, see some sights and then return for a early evening swim...or, spend the entire day at the cottage/beach. There are plenty of food options nearby. 'Simple house right on the beach makes for a good stay. We went to the beach every morning. Plenty of food and stores in Waianae. Be prepared for traffic, it's unavoidable on the island. Washing machine was a nice bonus'

'The cottage itself is the second story of the two-story unit. The inside is very attractively decorated Hawaiian beach motif. It hadeverything you could need in a beach apartment with chairs, towels, umbrellas, body boards, etc. masks fins. snorkel. The apartment itself is a bit of a sauna, it’s soaks in that sun and with the humidity of the beach it is very warm and sticky. The owner has yet to fix two windows that would allow more Breeze into the apartment, I really hope she fixes them now...
