This clean and well designed condo is nestled in an academic and professional community directly across the street from the VA and UF Health Shands Hospital, close to Oak Hammock and Florida Recovery Center. You will also be just minutes to great hikes, parks, restaurants, nightlife, and shopping at Butler Plaza and Celebration Pointe. Please reach out with any questions!

This beautiful condo is full of comfy furniture and small amenities that make a stay feel like home. We provide complimentary coffee and snacks so you can kick back and relax, but if you're feeling more ambitious, the kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils and small appliances for you to whip up whatever your heart desires. A designated workspace and ample bandwidth make taking care of business a breeze.

The unit is on the second (top) floor of the building, assuring the peace of mind that comes with knowing no cars, headlights or foot traffic will ever be outside your windows, and no footsteps will ever be overhead. We are directly across the street from the VA and Shands Hospital. While staying here you will have access to the pool area and laundry room, both just steps from your door. You will also have access to two free parking spaces.

We are a quick walk across the street to the Shands and Veterans Administration Hospitals. Of 12 buildings in the community, we are conveniently located at the front, one building away from the signalized crosswalk, and provide two umbrellas, just in case you need them!

We have made check-in and check-out as easy as possible and promise that 100% of your cleaning fee goes to our superstar cleaners - a locally owned small business.

We love hosting visiting nurses, medical students on clinical rotation, patients and their loved ones, as well as UF families, Gator fans, and other event and conference attendees! Whatever your reason for traveling to Gainesville, we welcome you.

BEDROOM
Queen bed, sleeps 2, dresser, closet space, ceiling fan, sheer and blackout curtains. Closet contains clothes hamper, extra pillows, sheets, blanket, and towels, GRACO Bassinet/crib with sheets, high chair, ironing board and iron.

LIVING ROOM
Couch with sheets and pillows sleeps 1 person ok with couch sleeping. Couch also features oh-so-handy recliners on both ends. Sheer and blackout curtains. Smart TV with broadcast antenna channels, tons of free channels, and is of course ready to log in to your favorite streaming accounts - Netflix, Prime, Hulu etc. Thermostat and ceiling fan for your comfort.

WORKSPACE is located in the living room and includes desk + chair, cat 5 cable, pens, pencils, stapler, scissors, ruler, mouse and mouse pad.

KITCHEN
Gas stove, full size refrigerator, toaster, blender, microwave, drip and french press coffee makers, coffee grinder, coffee, creamers, sugar and substitutes, snacks, filtered water in fridge, pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, bakeware.

DINING ROOM
Placemats, bar height table with 4 cushioned seats.

BATHROOM
Full size shower-tub combo with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser. Hair dryer, towels, hand towels, washcloths, makeup removal towels. In the cabinet under the sink are some commonly forgotten items (such as sunscreen, toothbrush, disposable razor, tampons, nail file etc.).

LAUNDRY FACILITY
The laundry facility is located downstairs in the next building and is available 24/7. You can pay for the machines using quarters or by scanning the QR code with your smart phone camera. There is no change machine or laundry soap onsite, so you will need to bring these with you.

POOL
The pool is located behind the Laundry Facility downstairs and next door to your building. Please be mindful of others using these spaces.

MAIL
We do not provide access to the mailbox on-site. There are P.O. boxes and General Delivery at the closest USPS office (3 miles).

You'll have access to the entire condo during your stay except for our supply closet. Don't worry though, we have left you extra cleaning and paper supplies for your stay and even provided some commonly forgotten items just in case. These are under the sinks in the kitchen and bathroom.

The Laundry and pool areas are shared spaces and you will have access to both during your stay.

Summit House Condominiums is a small complex right across the street from the VA and UF Health Shands Hospital. We are at the Southeast corner of UF campus and just 2 miles from downtown.

While our proximity to the hospital is convenient, it also comes with some sound. The occasional siren or Life Flight helicopter can be heard from inside the condo. We have provided earplugs in each nightstand drawer for you if needed. Reach out if you have questions about this or anything else!
