'Our family stayed at Brekka for the holiday season. The host’s directions were spot on and we found the house no trouble at night,in the snow, and never having been to Iceland before. The house was warm and clean on arrival & fully stocked with all utensils and cooking pots and pans, etc we needed for our stay. The three bedrooms and upstairs loft all got used as sleeping quarters; everyone was comfortable and the blankets sheets and pillows were all clean and inviting for a good night’s sleep....

'Based on the ad, our expectation was that we would have two cottages at our disposal, which turned out not to be the case. We did not receive check-in details from the owner. There were sheets for only 3 people. The owner was unreachable by phone and via the app we also got no response. Overall, I find the price of this accommodation far too high in relation to what we got.'

'Cute, small, basic cabin. Bedrooms are pretty tight and not much space for storage. Bathroom is very small and shower seemed to have some drainage challenges. Hot tub was plenty hot. The local dog, Snorta, is super friendly and fun to have come greet you. Local town was grocery, gas and a few places to eat. It worked well for 4 of us - more than 4 would be pretty tight. '

'The property was clean and maintained. The kitchen had most items needed for cooking, although a microwave would have been a good addition. The sauna was great, but the hot tub wasn't filled when we arrived and never was usable for the evening. Staff were very helpful and friendly. '

'I loved this cottage and was so sad to leave! I have never stayed at such a comfortable and cozy place. We arrived late at night and it was such a breath of fresh air walking into the cottage. Everything was just perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We were close to the golden circle and south coast so a slow exploration of the area was possible. '

'Wij hebben 4 nachten met 3 personen in deze blokhut geslapen. Ik moet er niet aan denken om er met meer personen te verblijven. Wc en douche zeer klein, maar wel heerlijke warme straal. Matras vond ik slecht (rugpijn), maar dat is altijd persoonlijk, wel 2 slaapkamers. Kookgelegenheid was prima. Prijs - kwaliteit verhouding vond ik dus niet zo goed.'
