'All aspects of this property met our expectations except for the bedroom situation. The property is listed as 5 bedrooms, but only one bedroom (new addition) has full walls. The other 4 bedrooms have open rafter ceiling which makes each room connected as far as noise is concerned. If you are traveling with other couples, this may not be advantageous. That being said, the location is great and the view from the deck is lovely. Jay is also a very gracious host. '

'Nothing but positive reviews for this place. Ample room for the kids to have their own area and not be all over the adults. The curly slide and game room kept the grandkids busy for many hours. The hosts was always responsive and the property had just about everything you could possibly need'

'The lake and beach were so beautiful! The house was great to except for the electrical problems that caused the breaker to trip. We couldn’t have two appliances on at the same time in the kitchen or a breaker would trip and that caused the TV and internet to go out! We moved things around and made it work. The refrigerator was the biggest problem. It is old and was not adequate for a 14 person stay . Water leaked on everything and there was a puddle in the bottom of the fridge everyday I would...

'This is the most adorable beach house, super clean and beautifully decorated! Location is right across the street from the beach and minutes (driving) away from Grand Haven shopping and restaurants. We had a tiny issue with the lock on the door (how to) but the owners texted us back right away and even checked on us the next day to make sure we were good to go! Such a wonderful time, this is an awesome property for a family vacation!'

'My mom and two teenage daughters and me were traveling and this was a good place to stop on our journey. The double bed and pillows were comfortable. The futon/pullout was not really meant for sleeping. There were not linens for the futon or pillow cases for the extra pillows. The double bed did have pillowcases and sheets. The keyless entry was smooth and worked as expected. The kitchen was small but adequate. It was not a full size fridge. But was a full size oven. It satisfied our...

'The house was clean and the kitchen what’s furnished with all your kitchen needs. The heated swimming pool was amazing and also the sauna. Our family was busy playing games swimming, enjoying the hot tub, playing shuffleboard and basketball. Tara, the owner was kind and answered your questions promptly. We will definitely tell our friends and family about this wonderful vacation home.'

'Property accurately advertised '

'Overall it was nice, the only thing is a few broken items: handle to one of the patio doors was missing, trash can in the kitchen was broken, it would be nice to have extra comfortables or blankets as the house does get pretty cold due to the old windows. In addition, the fire place does need looked at as it appears the vent does not work so we couldn’t use it. '

'The property was very nice, and the indoor pool was great, and the basement game room was ideal for the grandkids as well as their parents.The surrounding area also provided many things to do. bowling, skiing. polar plunge. and places to dine. '

'The property was perfect for our 2-night stay. The home was clean and comfy. The beds were delightful, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The owner was great at communicating and had the house set perfectly for our visit. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it for a group of 6 or less. Thanks Kate! '

'Our experience with booking "The Barn" was excellent. The owners were courteous, kind and very professional to interact with. The Barn was clean and very comfortable to stay in. Owners have thought of and supplied most everything you could want during your visit. Keep in mind that you must be able to climb steps to get to The Barn as the main living space is on the second floor and most bedrooms are on the third floor. '

'The stay was nice. The room was adequate although a bit small for wheelchair accessible. The bed was very comfortable. Other than the tightness of the room, the only other issue we found was that the room temperature, when we entered was less than 65°F. We actually left for several hours hoping that when we returned it would be warm. No luck there. We got extra blankets from the staff for the night. It was warm enough for habitation by the time we woke the next morning. '

'We have been there once before. Our biggest problem if there is no way to get to the pool without walking or drivingvto it. That meant both times we were there we didn't use the pool at all which I wasn't happy with. Wverything else was fine. I doubt that we will go there again.'
