'Our first time exploring Cape Breton and we made this our base for a few days. We were expecting it be rustic and it sure was - a real old-style beach cabin. The plumbing had a few issues but it delivered hot water no problem. The kitchen is the front entry so a bit crowded. Still, we had a great stay. 'The property is beautiful and very peaceful! It is incredibly private and away from everything. We especially loved using the hot tub and the kayaks. We are missing the view and the peacefulness already! The house and exterior is very well designed to fit the setting.The bed is comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. While there is no cell service, the WiFi is strong. About 30 minutes away are stores and restaurants. We went to Bras d'Or Inn on Christoph's recommendation and enjoyed...

'Ce fut un très beau séjour dans ce magnifique chalet. Très propre et les lits sont très confortable s. Par contre, pour aller visiter plusieurs endroits de la région, nous avons trouvé le trajet en voiture un peu long pour rejoindre la route principale surtout lorsque nous revenions en soirée! '

'Here are a few things that we would like to add: There was not enough shampoo, no saran wrap or foil paper, no tea or coffee, no curtains in patio door. Oven mitts should be replaced as one of the ladies got burned removing something from oven. Every place that we stayed had enough shampoo and all these items mentioned above.We would like to say thank you for letting us sign in at 3 pm instead of 4 pm which helped a lot.'

'Absolutely amazing choice. Oceanside view with the rolling waves and the fresh smell of the saltwater wafting in was absolutely perfect. The wind blowing by the house along with the cormorants, ducks, and all the other wildlife topped the vacation '

'Every one of us loved it here - grown ups, kids, and dog. We had many great adventures in a short time and wished we could have stayed longer. The kids and the dog loved roaming the beach right outside and swimming in such perfectly clear and calm water was wonderful. Well equipped apartment and helpful friendly hosts. Recommended and we hope to be back some day. '

'We stayed here two nights while we explored the Cabot Trail and Cape Breton. It was a perfect location right on the water! Beautiful view despite the poor weather we had. Nice to walk the boardwalk and walk to dinner. The placement of the potty in the bathroom was curious, but we had a giggle over it. That said, the kitchen was equipped with what we needed, beds were comfy, and it was a very cute apartment! '

'The place is good, and we had a good time in the area. The place is not right on the beach--it is about a 200 meter walk through the woods. The house is pretty remote, which can be a good thing, but every place we wanted to visit is at least an hour drive away. We did a lot of driving and spent a lot on gas. We wish we had stayed in Baddeck.'

'Christine and Karen were both welcoming and easy to communicate with in the lead-up to our stay. They sent us a message the day before letting us know that the apartment would be open and available on our arrival as well as their phone numbers to contact for any issues. Mooi gelegen onderkomen.

"Mooi gelegen plek op doorreis door Cape Brenton Island. Het niet ruim, maar alle voorzieningen zijn aanwezig en de bedden slapen prima. Het restaurant is beter dan sommige reviews doen geloven. En het wordt gerund door hele vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. "
