'Lovely old home that has been nicely renovated. Beautiful kitchen and dining room with plenty of seating for everyone in both areas. Nice living room with huge TV. Beds are comfy, upstairs bathroom has a spa feel to it. We had perfect weather so that we very much enjoyed the deck. Will definitely stay here again to visit my family that lives in the area.'

'Wonderful weekend at a wonderful property! We wanted to escape for some peace and quiet, just the 4 of us, and Blue Elk Lodge delivered! Spacious kitchen/common area, very comfortable beds and linens, and everything we could need or ask for! Only there for a few days, but enjoyed walkabouts on the property, met a very nice neighbor and ventured into Clifford and Carbondale. Would definitely return!!!!! Easy communication through VRBO, easy check in and check out. Thank you, Wander Home!!!'

'What a perfect weekend get away for a family wedding in Carbondale at St. Rose of Lima Church and then reception at Birchtown Wedding and Evenings, which as less than 3 miles from the house! The home is spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed views on the porches of the lake and time out by the fire pit. Just lovely!'

'House is decored like museum with lot of antique look like pieces and lot of furniture. Bed rooms are spead between 2nd floor and basement, most of the bedroom have individual air conditioner except bedrooms in basement. Kitchen is big enough with lot of utensils to cook your own food. Good enough light in the kitchen. Dining table is only for 8 people though total capacity of the house to stay is 23. Overall place is fine for the money you pay and if you are not looking for modern new look...

'I booked this property for a birthday weekend for my adult children and I. I wanted a house close to a lake and also hiking, and this was perfect! The home had everything we needed to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and have a great stay. The fishing was excellent and the sup was used by everyone! We met lovely people at the beach and ended each day at the firepit. The property was pet friendly, and there were even dog treats for us upon arrival! Eenvoudig maar schoon en compleet.

"Een eenvoudig hotel, gedateerd ook. Maar de prijs is navenant, dus dat kun je verwachten. Het was goed schoon. De bedden waren goed. Parkeerplek genoeg. Er was een magnetron, koffiezetapparaat en koelkast op de kamer. Een extra tafeltje met twee stoelen ook. Wij waren eerlijk gezegd aangenaam verrast gezien de lage prijs. In de omgeving verschillende restaurants. Wij zijn naar een bbq restaurant geweest ongeveer 2 km verderop waar we echt uitstekend gegeten hebben. Er is ook een supermarkt aan de overkant van de straat. "
