'We stayed in late Oct 2024. Cabin is older, but very clean. Was a bit chilly in the main room in the evenings (temps in low to mid 40’s); the heaters seemed to have some trouble keeping up. There is a wood burning fireplace in the main room which would have helped, I’m sure, but we were just there in the evenings and didn’t go to the trouble to build a fire. 'This place checked all the boxes for a long weekend. “Limited mobility” friendly with bedroom and shower on main level. Loved the walk with the puppy to exercise and see wildlife and sunsets. 'We spent three days at this amazing property in Door County! The Hayes family was extremely accommodating and very responsive to questions prior to our stay. I would highly recommend this property! We enjoyed the central location to neighboring towns, beautifully appointed seasonal decorations, fully equipped amenities (kitchen, laundry, fully stocked game closet, indoor shuffle board table, fire pit, WiFi, basketball hoop, etc) We look forward to visiting again! 'This is our second year at this property and just as pleasant. The house is maintained well and the owners were very communicative. It served as a great location to get all over Door County for our four day trip. The house is clean, we enjoyed cold mornings on the wrap-around deck with warm coffee, saw quite a few deer passing through, and played lots of family games. It’s a great place!'

'The property suited our needs wonderfully! 3 couples stayed comfortably over the weekend. Garbage can pedal was broken and there was visible dust on the walls and air vents but that didn’t affect our wonderful Door County experience. 'This is an adorable little cabin right on the bay. It’s a rustic small cabin but well appointed with a full kitchen, a screened in porch a fire pit and charcoal grill and a lovely library of books! 'The Idlewild cabin is a perfect and well stocked cabin for an Ice Fishing Trip to the Little Sturgeon Bay area. The game room was a nice added bonus to the weekend. The shuffle board table is in good condition. The pool table just needs a new cue ball. Otherwise the cabin was comfy and the perfect location to the area. '

'We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the access to the shoreline. We had an issue with the septic alarm going off and had to call the property manager. He answered right away and told us how to silence the alarm. We appreciated the quick response. My only suggestion would be updating the oven. We would definitely stay here again. '

'The house was perfect for our family. Everyone was able to have their own room and bed. Plenty of room to eat. Liked how it was so open - between the living room, kitchen and dining room area. Having the backyard fenced in was nice to have with 2 little ones. The house was stocked with everything that we needed. The downside to the house rental was the flies. There were flies everywhere so when we were cooking, or eating, and they were flying all around, it was kind of gross. '
