Plain and aimple
These are not luxurious properties, but they're not supposed to be. This condo is smack oceanside so you watch the sunset from your lanai. Pool and community facilities are great, and the residents graciously included us in their community potluck on Christmas Day. Our kids spent a lot of time on the tennis/oickleball court. Kahalu'u snorkleing beach is a 10-15 walk which means you don't pay and fight for parking.Great place for a family vacation.

We had amazing amazing 5 days at this property. Great location, beautiful community, easy access and parking. House is in good-great condition with fewer flows like upstairs bedrooms do not have a/c units and our first night was quite hot to sleep even it was mid December. However, from the second day weather got better and cool breeze was coming in but we need to keep our bedroom door open. Another issue must be fixed that upstairs bathroom shower door is not closing and due to this water splashes was going out on the bathroom met and on the floor. And one last thing the kitchen window do not have screen and that allows bugs to get in easily. Other than these issues my family and I had amazing time sitting outside watching beautiful sunsets and watching crashing waves. It was very relaxing vacation and we definitely coming back when we visit beautiful and magical Big Island of Hawaii.

I really wanted to love this place. We were so excited driving up and walking in. This place could easily be 5-stars for the view alone if the owner would put some darn AC upstairs. For what we paid per night, no AC upstairs (where both bedrooms are) is ridiculous. We were there in late Oct/ early Nov and when we arrived, outside was cooler than upstairs. A portable AC unit would have been great. This was also one of the least clean rentals we’ve stayed in. The front load clothes washer was very moldy and stank very badly. Yuck. Pros: - The view - sunsets were amazing. - The proximity to the pool and grills. The pool was great. - We saw rays and turtles off the back porch. - The beach amenities were great - update the listing to include these. Cons: - So freaking hot. You can listen to the waves crashing all night because you’re so hot that you’re awake all night, since there’s no AC upstairs. It sounds romantic to listen to the waves crash all night until you are up all night, basking in your own sweat and not sleeping while you are tormented by the sounds of crashing waves reminding you that you can’t sleep and that you are sweating. Then you need to pee. - No ice maker or ice trays. See above. The owner does not want you to find reprieve. - No deadbolt on the front door or secondary means to lock the door - didn’t feel very safe. - Moldy washer.

Great location
Everything was great! The only thing we didn’t like was how hot the upstairs was. Both bedrooms are upstairs and the temperature was very uncomfortable. We ended up buying another fan because it was so hot! Even with both fans and the ceiling fans going it was still really hot. Other than that it was a great stay!

This condo had a direct views of the water where you could sit and listen to the waves crash against the rocks with your morning coffee. Location is great and condo was comfortable and clean. If you are looking for a great reasonably priced place to stay right on the water this is it

Shoreside Keauhou Beauty
Our family stayed for 4 days. We were sold with the BEAUTIFUL VIEW. We felt like the lanai led right into the ocean! It was gorgeous to hear the ocean waves outside our window! The kids loved that the unit was walking distance to the pool and tennis court. Unit was clean and it was fully equipped with all that we needed (toiletries, kitchen supplies, etc..) There was a cooler we used on our road trips and it was easy to cook with the spices and kitchenware that was provided. Mahalo for a good time we will be back!

It was smaller than we thought. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 toddlers. It just wasn’t big enough to accommodate everyone comfortably so two of us moved to another place. The interior has had some updating but clearly needs more. Location is convenient and the view from the patio is spectacular.

Great Stay
Perfect for our stay. Beautiful ocean views and near pool. On the small side and not the newest furnishings but this is as close to the oceanfront as you can get. Only AC on first floor so bedrooms can get warm. Great stay and will be back

This home had everything we needed and was cleaned and sanitized before our arrival. Great service from property manager. Beautiful views and conveniently located. Bbq grill came in handy and pool was nice.

Great views of the Pacific and dolphins going by! Felt safe in the complex. Nice kitchen with appliances in great condition. With TV and internet as well! The condo needs some loving attention for updates and deep cleaning. The owner was receptive to feedback. Our major complaint was in how crazy busy Kona was in the downtown area!

Great location-a little tired
The location to things as well as being ocean front can’t be beat! We arrived to find that the condo was not cleaned and the local contact said it would be awhile. He said he did not understand why they booked for Christmas Day knowing that he could not get it cleaned properly. We waited a good hour and a half while they gave it what I’d call a “highlight” cleaning. He said they’d come back one day soon and do better job. They did not. A couple of days later we got a fruit basket?!?? The condo had all that you need, but if you are a tidy person the grimy lamps, rugs, comforters, bed skirts, and furniture etc will bother you. My grown son scraped stuck on candy off the wall next to his bed. Several things are just tired and need to be replaced. It is in fact hot upstairs as there is no air conditioner. If you aren’t used to that, you might not be comfortable. Overall-we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the lanai each morning for coffee and the spectacular ocean view.

Breathtaking View and a wonderful host
Breathtaking View and a wonderful host. House has all amenities that you can wish for. What can say about the location - Gorgeous views, matched by the constant boom from the ocean and some Dolphin and Fish sighting from the Lanai.
