More information needs to be provided during the check-in process about the hotel policies on hot water, cleaning and facilities timings to avoid misunderstandings. The restaurant manager was most helpful and the food served was freshly made and tasty. There were some flys in the restaurant which could have been avoided by plugging in an insect repellent. 'We loved our three days in Eighth Bastion. The room was beautiful with a pool-side balcony complete with roof fan. Nice pool with umbrella shading, food was great, esp. breakfast dosa & pancakes, location is excellent, and above all, the staff are super-friendly and helpful.'
