Strandhotels in Kona Coast

'Beautiful property. Only said that I only get to spend seven hours there.!!'

'Perfecte ligging aan het strand waar allerlei voorzieningen zijn zoals snorkelen. Daarbij prima gelegenheid om bijv. schildpadden te zien; zelfs langs het strand. Zwembaden bij het hotel zijn ook prima. Gezellige bar met prima eten ook in het restaurant. Hotelpersoneel is supervriendelijk.'

'Decent hotel. Private beach good for families with kids. Good location by the city center and close to airport Downsides: exorbitant parking fee of 35$ and destination tax of 22$ which adds up. The hotel luau (island breeze) was quite expensive but Food at island breeze luau was bad. '

'We found The Big Island Rereat to be just as good as the pictures! It was easy to find right off Ali'i drive. Check in and out were both very easy. We stayed in the Ocean View room which was just as advertised. There is no AC which is in the room description so there was no surprise. Ceiling fan and to other larger standing fans kept the air moving through the room. There is a common area which has beach chairs to use and some snorkel gear and boogie boards as well and an outdoor kitchen...

'We loved the ocean view room — it was large with a comfortable bed with hypoallergenic bedding options, and it had lots of storage room for clothing — 2 closets and 4 large drawers. I have stayed in several luxury hotels/ resorts in the past and the friendly service here was beyond compare. Our only minor complaint was that the lighting could be improved in the bathroom, and there was a lack of hooks or drawers in the bathroom. '

'This is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Understated and tasteful elegance. Fantastic rooms with amazing balconies, world class beach, impeccable service, excellent grounds, fine dining at Manta, but also a beachfront casual bar/restaurant, and Copper Bar in between and our favorite. They have an Asian Art Collection worthy of a museum. This was out of our usual price range, a big splurge, and worth every penny. We are already trying to figure out how to swing it to go back next winter. '
