'Great stay, good property and great hotst'

'My husband and I loved our stay at the Middle Cottage! The setting was idyllic and the amenities were phenomenal. It was the perfect retreat from our busy lives in the city. The only thing of note is the steep staircase up to the second floor. If you have any sort of mobility issues, this may not be the spot for you. We enjoyed visiting downtown Gloucester and making a day-trip to Williamsburg. We also considered a dinner on Yorktown beach because of its easy access. We truly loved our stay and...

'A delight to pull up to, inviting front porch, entire house looks freshly painted and well maintained. The inside was well appointed and comfortable. We found everything we needed and more. Very obvious the owners take great pride in providing an exceptional stay for their guests. The community of Irvington has delicious food offerings, friendly folks and good shopping options. Same was found in nearby small townsWould definitely recommend Key Cottage if you travel to Virginia’s Northern Neck'

'This was our second stay. It’s extremely convenient to Commonwealth Senior Living where my mother lives. This was a sweet little cottage to relax and regroup after some very hard days of moving her to Assisted Living. '

'Very cute old house right on the beach but it needs some serious work.. if you open certain cabinet doors in the kitchen it hits the ceiling fan, they had the dryer door taped shut but of course it kept popping open so the dryer is unusable, stains on the carpets and wood floors, missing outlet covers, the back deck is seriously unsafe you feel it sway with any small movement and it needs a good deep clean the ac filter covers are caked in dust and they’re Cobb webs in a lot of the corners....

'The place was in a great location and having everything on one floor was a huge benefit as one of the guests is disabled. The place could use some updates but other than that it was nice! The owner was very responsive to our needs and got right back to us if we had any question! If we ever go back, we would consider this place again!'

The property is well maintained and has a private backyard. And they are dog friendly. I travel with my dog all the time and I really needed a spot to stay on short notice that allowed dogs. 10 stars from me.'
