'My stay at the Trang An was great! The staff is extremely nice, they help whenever they can. They went above and beyond when we asked for something, for example when we asked if we could get into our room a bit earlier, how to get from Ninh Binh to Cat Ba and when we asked to do our laundry pretty last minute. They even gave us an extra bottle of water when we were on the way to the next destination. Highly recommend this place!'

'We stayed one night at Lotus Field Homestay and it was wonderful. The staff were attentive and helpful, the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was included and was quite tasty. It was a 15 min walk to the closet “town” area with plenty of restaurants to choose from and shops to get any snacks needed. The location was off the beaten path and very peaceful and idyllic. The lotus flowers were not in bloom while we were there, however I can only imagine how much more beautiful the landscape gets...

'We enjoyed our stay, the grounds and personnel were fantastic. We stayed in a quaint bungalow with a wall that was the actual rock so when it rained, this adjoining room got cooler and humid. We discovered a good gap in the screen where mosquitoes could enter but the issue was quickly and effectively fixed. Restaurant was great and the buffet breakfast was fulsome and varied. We would be happy to return. '

'We stayed for two nights it was comfortable,and quiet. We took taxi which was very reasonable to where we wanted to go. Beds were comfy. No tv, which was fine. Rooms were big, breakfast ok, you won’t starve but not your typical western style. Staff friendly. They had a pool table to use. Very quiet and laid back. Bikes and scooters are available for rent which we did not use. '

'This was an amazing location, staying amongst the limestone karsts. The pool looked very inviting but we didn't get a chance to use it as there is so much to explore around the area. The host families hospitality was incredible. We played billiards with the kids and their mum gave us a big hug as we left. She is very accommodating and although her English was limited made a great effort with Google translate to communicate well with us. She was very helpful with advice on where to visit. ...

'Perfect location to visit all the tourist attractions in the area; I recommend hiring a bicycle from the homestay and cycling to each one, it is all relatively flat. Lovely owners, amazing views of the mountains from the bedrooms. Property is kept clean. '

'Amazing hotel! We had such an awesome stay with such a cool view! We were treated with such kindness by Dzung and his wife. They were so gracious, charming and helpful. He provided us so much helpful information about the town and activities, loaned us bikes to use for the day, and they made us a great breakfast every day. Our room was great and we got to explore so much of the town! A huge thanks to Dzung and his wife for facilitating such a great time in their beautiful town. An 11 out of 10!'
