'We arrived and found it better than advertised. A beautiful cottage behind the main house, nothing but farmland all around, and incredibly quiet. Very comfortable, we cooked all our own meals, nice hot shower, the bed/quilt comfortable and almost too warm (turn off the bedroom heater at night!). We talked about returning for a stay here next year we liked it so much.'

'We had a sibling reunion and the cabin worked beautifully for four couples. Kitchen was cozy but the bedrooms (especially upstairs) were spacious and comfortable. We’d stay here again!'

'This cute cabin and our host, Sue, gave us a wonderful, refreshing rest. The cabin is cozy and cute while comfortable and spacious inside. We found Sue to be thoughtful and gave us everything we needed for a peaceful stay. Sue and her husband added so many creative touches both inside and out. The cabin has a beautiful garden. 'Wonderful property and we have returned many times. Beautifully appointed with charming English garden. Only negative was we were given wrong key lockbox code and took 30mins of holding on telephone before we got a live person at 11pm who was able to get property manager. Rest of stay was excellent.'

'Hello, This is our second stay at Captain's Cottage. This one was even better. The property manager is great, the unit was spotless and there were upgrades since our last stay. Very comfy bed, nicely stocked kitchen - even with food film, foil, spices, sweetners and other goodies. They even had an oyster knife so I could shuck my own yummy fresh oysters from up the road a bit. If you like a quite, water view getaway, this is the place. It is for two adults only, but if thats you, enjoy!'

"Ruime kaner, badkamer verouderd en klein, lamp in badkamer maakt erg veel lawaai in combinatie met airco. Kan he niet afzonderlijk aanzetten . Wij gebruikten daarom verlichting van de heater in de badkamer. Handdoeken rek zit op onlogische plek stoot je steeds tegenaan. Bed staat op wieltjes dus bij beweging gaat hij verplaatsen. Kamer ruikt overdreven naar schoonmaak middel Onder bedden wordt niet schoongemaakt Hotel doet Nederlands voorkomen met naam Holland Inn en molens en tulpen maar niemand spreekt of kent Nederland. Ligt aan een drukke doorgaande weg, nachts geen last van ochtends hoor je wel veel verkeer. Ontbijt is basic maar goed verzorgd "
