'This is a clean, comfortable house, situated about 1.5 miles from the centre of Kinsale. It's well appointed with everything you would need in a vacation rental. As the owner states, your own transport is essential. We found some difficulty with getting a taxi from Kinsale once it goes beyond 8 - 9 o'clock in the evening. The Bulman gastropub is well worth a visit, only 5 minutes by car. You need to be in good shape to manage the hills around the property if you're walking!'

'Lovely historic farmhouse but still updated with all the modern amenities you'd want. The kitchen in particular is in excellent condition and well stocked. Appreciated that there was even breakfast options like cereals out. 'The house was nice and quiet. It was advertised with a view of the ocean, however the hedge was so tall it was not possible to see over it for the view. In addition, the house could use a few basic instructions on the switches, stove, washer/dryer, etc readily available, in addition it would be nice to have a few more hand towels and hooks so guests can hang them to dry. Overall the place was a solid performer, lots of room to spread out; not walkable to a town but a short curvy drive in.'

'We had a fantastic week at the holiday home Bun na Sleibhte! The communication with our hostess Mary was great and easy. The house is big and tidy and we especially enjoyed the sunroom! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet in and around the house. There were so many rabbits and birds to see around the house. We loved it! We surely be back in the future!'

'This place was amazing in its proximity to area towns and attractions. It had a great view of the sea, and the place was very clean and tidy. Teri was very helpful in aiding us to the place, and she even had a cake dessert and some coffee pods for us when we arrived. She went through everything very thoroughly and was always available via What's App for our questions. I recommend this to any family/friend group (we were 9). Lots of space, great bedrooms, very clean. So glad we chose this place....

'We had never been to this part of Ireland. And Kinsale is a lovely area to stay around. Denise and Darlene - the delightful twin sister hosts could not have been more helpful. They were always attentive and informative but never intrusive. The property - restored by the sisters to its former glory is beautiful. The facilities are great and it has a beautiful vista over the Bandon. Kinsale itself is a lovely town with great pubs, restaurants (Bulmans and Man Friday were great), cafes and places...

Improve on maintenance and restaurant

"Spacious room with 2 double beds. A number of small neglections in the maintenance. Good breakfast at addition 15€. Poor selection a quality at the restaurant. Nice location relatively close to restaurants and highway. If they would spend more time on fixing things this could be again the high profile place it once was. Now it is just ok"

"We stayed in the self-catering Stable Lodge, which is for 4 persons. The main house is very nice, but the lodge was disappointing. It smelled of paint very intensively, however, it also felt that some maintenance was needed. The kitchen was dirty, so much so that I didn't feel it was safe to cook there. There is only one sleeping room, with a double bed and a bunk bed which partially blocks the entrance to the bathroom. The farm itself was nice, and the kids enjoyed playing pool in the common area."
