'Ballaloaghtan is perfectly located 30 mins from Douglas but within easy reach of a village shop..5 mins, a fine dining restaurant….10 mins and beautiful walks from the barn. We had a mix of weather but we did get to enjoy a walk up to South Barrule, a cycle ride around some of the TT circuit and a visit to Laxey on the Electric railway. It was always a pleasure returning to the house where we could cook, eat and relax together after our busy days. We will be returning 🙂'

'We had a wonderful stay in lodge 1. The owner was friendly and helpful. The lodge was beautiful and had all we needed. We didn’t have a car but had friends who picked up up each day we went out. You would need access to transport. We would happily stay again! '

'We loved the views across Douglas Bay and the location provided easy access to other parts of the Island. We would have appreciated a more consistent WiFi and TV connection as we had to reboot multiple times in the course of an evening but overall this did not detract from our positive experience staying here.'

'This property was perfectly lovely. Clean, everything provided and very comfy. Needs outside lights as coming back in the dark with wet leaves everywhere was a tad slippery. The smell of diesel in the downstairs bathroom from the heater needs addressing.'

'Wonderful, spacious and comfortable property. Very quiet with a beautiful outlook over the countryside. Well-equipped kitchen so great for cooking. Golf courses were all within 20 mins drive, as are the range of supermarkets and shopping in Douglas, and Castletown Links is thoroughly recommended. Port Erin is lovely and we had delicious fish and chips there. A slightly slow draining shower tray and a rather dated TV were the only minor drawbacks but we'd return in a shot! Thanks for having us.'

'Loved the location. Great cleanliness and really well equipped kitchen. Although the property is listed as having a tumble dryer we couldn't find that. There were a few maintenance issues, some mould needs dealing with in the ensuite bathroom and the patio door isn't working properly. he'shed '

'Lovely property set over 3 floors with all mod cons and full bathrooms on each floor. Has great entertaining space outside wuth hot tub, bbq, fire pit, seating areas both covered and uncovered. Would definately stay again. We stayed for a relaxing stress free night chill out night before my daughter's wedding. We were all impressed by facilties, and our host Tim. Who welcomed us warmly and took us through the house and facilities. '

'We had a fantastic time overall. The garden is large and stunning. The house is roomy and very comfortable. We were pleased to find there is a bath in the ensuite and a 3rd toilet downstairs as that wasn't clear from the listing. It would have been helpful to have instructions for appliances and remotes.There were also a few problems with one bedroom door hinge and the bedroom curtains were all difficult to open and close.'
