DIRECT OCEANFRONT, fully updated, ground floor, single Family Home; 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths (Sleeps 6 comfortably). The home is all new and beautiful!! 50 feet of deepwater dockage with immediate access to the Ocean and Gulf and a gas dock right around the corner. Amazing views of the Atlantic and beyond. Now, with a pool just steps away from the ocean.

This carefree classic 'Keys' home is located in a very quiet, established neighborhood. There are no mobile homes, vacant lots, or trash of any kind anywhere near the home. Conveniently and centrally located with various food options, including the really good local fisher market and restaurant within walking distance! The Lobster House has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, and sleeps up to 8. The kitchen is completely furnished with everything you will need to cook your catch! There is a large covered patio overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, with a barbecue and plenty of seating for a crowd. The pool is just ten feet away from the ocean. Dock up to a 40 ft boat out your back door; water is 7 feet deep at the dock at low tide. Boat rentals are available just 3 mins away. Fishermen, we have it all! Bait freezer, cleaning table, and a new grill to cook your catch! And the green light brings the fish in at night.

Picturesque View
We all had an amazing stay here and never wanted to leave the house! We either cooked dinner at the house or brought back take out food while we appreciated the picturesque view from the deck. The pool was a perfect size for the kids and they played there for hours. Also, the owners have a paddle board and kayak available to use right off the dock! No need to rent kayaks or paddleboards. Also, the water was calm enough to paddle right near the house. We saw so much cool wildlife. It was like we were on our own private island. We saw manatees, a beautiful turtle and lizards just off the dock. Also, my son fished right off the dock. The owners let us use their fishing poles which was nice! The sunset was amazing and even at night, we were mesmerized by the full moon. Also, there were many places within walking distance from the house. In addition, there was a sidewalk nearby for running or walking. Also, there was a gym within a short driving distance that offered daily and weekly passes. There was even a Publix within a short distance from the house. There are many activities that are close by as well including kayaking, Sombrero Beach and the Dolphin Research Center. The owners are very easy to communicate with and responded quickly for any questions that we had. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this house to others!

Perfect Location!
We had a wonderful stay! The dock was perfect for fishing, launching kayaks/paddle boards and just sitting with a drink watching the manatees and gorgeous sunsets! The deeper area in front of the dock was great for fishing/docking larger boats. Further out are shallow sea grass beds that were perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding without having to worry about boat traffic! The house was clean and had everything we needed for an awesome week in the Keys!

Great trip!
The listing represents the house well. It was extremely clean, which is greatly appreciated. Communication was fast and friendly. We enjoyed the dock, as many have mentioned. It was ample in size to keep our boat tied up and still offer a view. The wildlife was as hoped—a manatee visited on several occasions. The week flew by with all of the fun activities. I wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing to note, the paddleboard is not an EPS & fiberglass type. I guess it was a blow-up kind with a surface that left anything that touched it blue like a Smurf. We'd have chosen to bring one or two from home if we knew. This point is probably unimportant to most! Other than that, everything was perfect!

A terrific find
This was our first trip to the Keys and we really loved The Lobster House-- a bright and cheerfully decorated beach house located directly on the water with dock off the deck. We had five adults (two parents and three mid 20s adults) and had plenty of room. Comfortable furniture, everything we needed. Check-in/out were very easy. The hosts were quite helpful and reached out to us before and during our stay; they provided helpful suggestions for activities, shopping and dining in the Marathon area and in Key West, which is about an hour's drive south. We enjoyed the back deck with porch and table/chairs providing shade, hot tub, fishing off the dock, green light for night fishing and watching the many fish and sea birds. Neighborhood is quiet and felt safe, many restaurants within easy walking distance. Hope we'll be back sometime-- can't go wrong with this one! Would give more stars if I could!

Wonderful Marathon oasis
Wonderful house, just as described. Had everything you could need. Kitchen well-stocked, beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed seeing Manatees right at the dock, fishing was fun. Beautiful view. Owners were very nice and responsive to a very minor issue; quickly resolved. One note: there is a small airport (non-commercial); private jets, tour helicopters, military, behind the house on the far side of the main highway. If you spend time at the house, you will notice the air traffic. Nonetheless, beautiful, comfortable property, close to tons of activities. This is a can't miss rental.

Best location for stay in the Keys
Beautiful home, best location we could have asked for. When you step out onto the patio, you are steps away from the oceanfront dock. Beautiful view, had so much fun not just fishing from the dock, but watching the fish. As far as we could tell, this was the only house that had a night light for fish. We really enjoyed watching them and catching them. This location is about 5 minutes from Sombrero Beach, a little over an hour away from Key West. We enjoyed eating at Porky's, the key lime sweets and ice cream at Sweet Savannah's, and breakfast at The Wooden Spoon, all close by. A huge highlight was watching the most beautiful sunset at Sunset Beach Park, also only about 5 minutes away. We normally visit the panhandle in FL and stay in a beachfront condo on the beach there. The family agreed this is the closest to the ocean we've ever stayed, completely different type of FL trip. There is a paddleboard available at the house that our oldest son enjoyed using (right off the dock) and the "Ringing the Bull" hook and ring set up on the patio was enjoyed by all. Fishing poles were provided. We bought a few things missing in the tackle box and were good to go. The house is well equipped with everything you might need in the kitchen. Bathrooms are equipped with blow dryers and magnifying mirrors, something these older eyes appreciate. Rooms have individually controlled AC, another feature great for our group. We won't hesitate to book here again on our next trip to the Keys.

Fantastic Property & Location
The Lobster House is wonderful. We found ourselves not wanting to do many other activities because the dock was so nice. We enjoyed many hours of fishing and sunrise/sunset gazing directly on the ocean. The house is recently remodeled with great style. We enjoyed everything about the property and hope to return soon.

Amazing Vacation
The Lobster House was exactly what we wanted in a vacation rental. The home was spacious, and with 6 adults, three bathrooms was a plus. However the overall flow of the house was great. Huge open concept where we were able to gather as a family. The patio/ dock is crazy good! We ate under the roof, complete with ceiling fan. We used the hot tub and loungers, and fished from the deep water dock each day. We also saw Manatees several times from the dock. You cannot go wrong with April and Mark’s rental. Truly one of the best VRBO rentals we have ever stayed in.

A Little Slice of Paradise
The beauty of this property is outstanding. The amenities and proximity to everything we wanted to do made our trip so much fun. We watched manatees off the dock, fished, lay out in the sun, and enjoyed the hot tub and patio. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space and enough bathrooms, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed! Having a washer and dryer was a big bonus too! The owners were easily available whenever needed, and any hang up was quickly taken care of so our trip could be as relaxing and laid back as possible. We will definitely be booking this property again- I cannot recommend enough!

Incredible views--Incredible home--Incredible stay!
It's hard to express how wonderful our stay at the Lobster House was last month. The home was better than described--especially as the owners continued to add improvements throughout our stay. Communication with Mark and April was outstanding—from check-in to check-out. The location on the water could not have been better--what a view! We started and ended each day on the patio/deck enjoying the ocean views and the wildlife it provided--pelicans, manatees, ospreys, sea turtles, tarpon, sharks...the list goes on and on. The green light brought in all manner of sea life--fish, shrimp, crabs, squid--great watching and fishing! Many nights the fishing continued until the wee hours of the morning. The neighborhood was safe, quiet, and away from the bustle--a nice basecamp to enjoy all the Keys have to offer. Family and friends visited throughout our stay--each one was wowed and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The home is spacious enough that it never felt crowded, even with 3 couples. Each of the bedrooms has a very comfortable accommodations and 3 full bathrooms is a great plus. The kitchen is fully outfitted. We used the grill on the deck most nights to enjoy the local seafood. It was a fantastic stay—one we hope to repeat annually. Thank you for sharing your incredible home with us!

A nice getaway property
We found this property as a nice place to get away from the world. It was quiet and accommodating. It was very clean and the arrangement of the bedrooms gave you as much privacy as you want. The living area is large, and you have options of dining inside or outside on a covered 'porch'. Just minutes from any basic shopping you need. Marathon offers many things to do in the Keys without the fast paced environment of Key West. Best of all it's only an hour to Key West which makes it a good day trip.
